Nick's is my favourite place to go for a dinner with friends or family. They have an amazing selection of food (pizza, pastas, chicken, veal, steak, etc..) and are great for so many different occasions. I also love the "70's vibe"!They are located right off of Crowchild and Banff Trail, across from the football stadium. They have an overflow parking lot available, which is also great for trucks.My most recent visit was with my mom and husband. We all decided to order the steak special, which came with a side of baked mussels. With the rising cost of beef, Nick's is one of the best places you can go in the city for a decently priced, delicious steak - and you really get your money's worth!Each entree comes with salad and garlic toast, as well as potato or rice and a vegetable.The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delivered to our table in a decent amount of time, piping hot.The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was so tender and juicy. And the mussels - wow! I had never tried baked mussels of that style before. They were baked in a creamy tomato sauce with chunks of tomato and onion, and cheese baked on top to finish it all off. It was almost like eating pizza on top of mussels.The portion sizes were so generous that we couldn't finish it all.We also ordered a margarita and moscow mule from the drink menu, and both were excellent!It's always a busy place, so I recommend calling ahead for reservations!Definitely recommend Nick's for any occassion!

I had the best experience at Nick’s! Since I got back from my trip to Calgary I have recommended this place to all my friends and family. All the staff were very welcoming and kind. The food was exceptional! We ordered the Baby back ribs, chicken tetrazzini and a pizza. All the food was delicious and I would go back in heartbeat. The owner Nick, sits at a table near the front and engages with all the customers and his staff. On our way out he thanked us for coming! I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Highly recommend!
Amazing restaurant! Never been before tonight but will be back for sure! Staff were all friendly and seemed to enjoy their work environment laughing and seeming happy to each other and customers! Owner was around and was dressed nicely. Food was incredible pizza was so fresh best pizza I’ve had in Calgary so far, my husband had a burger and he said it was very delicious, my father had steak and was very tasty! Restaurant was clean and had parking, they had colouring items for kids and highchair for baby.
Great place that continues to withstand the forces of time. Decades of pleasant atmosphere, great friendly service and always excellent service. We had an Alberta BioBord lunch with a couple of new University of Calgary partners and were able to have just enough quiet privacy to truly get to know one another!I will be returning more often, who knew that conversation without loud background music was still available & possible!

I hate giving reviews, but I was really craving a good steak after travelling from out of province. I have had streaks at hundreds of different restaurants during my travels.The ribeye steak I had here was not only the most expensive I’ve had, but it was very fatty, wasn’t cooked to my liking not much flavour. I was overly disappointed. The veggies were also frozen vegetables. I don’t mind having a steak as good as others but you can’t charge the price of an amazing steak. I left over $100 less after paying my bill, still hungry and dissatisfied. I normally rate a steak but this doesn’t even make a list. The staff were amazing ! Customer service was excellent, wicked restaurant and environment. But food isn’t worth the price. Needs to be half of what they are charging compared to the other restaurants I have been too.Management please fix this problem! As this is a wicked restaurant
My husband had the ribeye and it was damn good. Cooked perfectly to order. I had the seafood fettuccine which was tasty. Tons if cool pictures to look at on your way to the washroom. Friendly waitress! I would recommend.
