I've been here a few times and have had a blast, however they badly need a karaoke host for their main room. We have had experiences in the past where everyone is pretty respectful of general karaoke etiquette but tonight we had to watch the same drunk chick sing 4 out of 6 songs. Also 3 out of 4 of our group got to sing while the 4th didn't get to sing at all even though we put in our requests within a couple min of eachother. I love the vibe and it's always very positive and rowdy but I don't think I'll be going back until they get a host or figure out how to make their song submission system better.
Made a reservation 2 days before our reservation. There's alot of miscommunication with this situation. My bf talked to this guy to book a reservation via call. My bf said his name to book the reservation. The guy misheard a whole different name. And had to repeat it again. Which is fine. And we booked our reservation at 8.50pm. Was confirmed for 8.50pm. We called the next day (still the day before our reservation) needing to push it back to 9.20pm instead. We called to push back our reservation twice on the day itself. We pushed it to 9.30pm and 9.45pm (they said that's our last call to push back, that's a situation I understand we shouldn't be pushing back the time). We got there and mentioned the reservation we are under. This lady gave my bf a whole attitude saying we're a whole hour late. And my bf said no. We changed the booking for 9.20pm. That's not an hour late. She just said whatever (not in the nicest manner). It ruined his night because she didn't listen or assumed we're making things up. We didn't stay longer because of that reaction we got from that lady. We've always had good times at Nanta's. I'm not sure what happened last night but that wasn't a pleasant experience. Now we're not sure if the reservation we booked never got changed in the first place and we got a whole attitude from this lady being late for an hour. They still gave us our full time but it was still ok.
Immediately when you walk into the entrance this place reeks of urine. Music is up to date for English songs but music selection for all other languages is extremely outdated and limited. Private karaoke room also smells of urine. Not as bad as the entrance when you’re walking up the stairs though.
Best karokee bar in calgary. Everyone I bring there is blown away. Hidden gem.
Had a lot of fun with my friends, and a very very cheap price for private rooms compared to other Karaoke Bars in Calgary. I didn’t have a lot of the food but they were a bit on the pricey end. There is a huge selection of songs so don’t worry about them not having your favourites!
I knew enough Korean to navigate the remote easily but it might be confusing for people. All in all the food is great, the people who come here are lots of fun, and the private rooms have fans which is a life saver. The only downside is when the lights are on, it does seem a bit dirty. And my male friend and I ordered the same drink and were charged different prices so that's a bit off. Still love it though. Get wasted and sing into the night!
Fun place when with a larger party! However the private rooms just aren’t as private as they could be as it’s situated right by the open area. Otherwise, still a fun place but there are still better karaoke places out there.
I had great customer services and the food name called malatangs taste the same as Korea style malatangs. If anyone misses malatangs taste from Korea, should try this.
