I loved the classic breakfast at Moxies. Good sized portions. We had the best service by Maggie. She was professional and fast. Also a delightful to chat with. It's a convenient location and an entrance to the Sandman hotel.
Just stopped in for drinks. Was seated quickly, service was great. Drinks were really good. I had a ginger drink loved the strong ginger taste. We were married here in upstairs part 16 years ago. It's been renovated but looks better. Lots of seating. Was only place open on a Sunday. Will be back!

We flew back to Vancouver last night. My family and I drove into Calgary after a long day sightseeing last Saturday.Since we stayed at the Sandman Hotel, we thought we would drop in early for dinner before 6 when there are less people around dinner time. We ordered 2 sirloin steaks and 2 cheese burgers (if my memories are correct).The order took more than 45 minutes after ordering to come, partly because we were told that there was "no fries" in the restaurant. (and later on, fries did come out. Maybe someone went shopping.)During the 45 minutes, I realized the chefs and kitchen staff were very very busy because they were preparing for Uber or take out foods, which in this era is an important source of income.However, probably because they were too busy, our 2 steaks were black, overcooked with surface charcoal of 2mm. They were so hard to chew that we cut the surface off to eat, which defeats the entire purpose of paying money for Alberta beef.My wife was really emotionally upset because this shouldn't be this way, paying money for blackened food which is barely edible. (I can provide photos if needed.)My kids' burgers were also blackened and hard and did not taste good.I mean, the server girl did a wonderful job of cheering us up by providing a "sorry" dessert. However, we left with an empty feeling because we wanted good Alberta steak, not "dessert".

Service is good and the ladies are very nice. But the food is basic and expensive for what it is.
Chipotle Mango Chicken was fabulous. Great paired with a Lime Margarita. Service was awesome n friendly.
This was our second disappointing experience at this location. Our drinks took forever to come out, and didnât come until our food arrived. The guacamole we had was unripe, and had multiple pieces of avocado that would not mash because of how unripe they were. The service was not great, which was disappointing as there was only a few tables, and a lot of staff who were hanging out in booths. Probably wonât be coming back
The food was great! Our server was wonderful, quick and got us everything we needed.
I was there on Saturday for a friends birthday and the manager Carlos was so cool! He was really nice and would check up on our table a lot. Our server Molly was so quick with the service too and super sweet. Great place to visit if you’re downtown
