Disappointed/Terrible Service: This review is given with utmost sincerity and no bias. My family and I were visiting Calgary for the 1st time and decided to go to a native restaurant. Firstly, the ambiance and interior are dull, poorly put together and sadly unimpressive.We were met with a rather rude and unfriendly woman who took our order. The food is very over-priced ($25-$45 per plate) and it took longer than expected for our order to be ready. Meanwhile we were asked to pay before seeing the food which is odd, as most restaurants, you pay after you receive your meal.Upon arrival of the food, the wraps of poundo were small, pieces of meat were small-sized, fried and dry and thrown into the soup and the meals were in very small plates, like food serving for a child.The Okra soup looked blended and salted, and still raw green with no trace of palm-oil! The vegetable soup (Eforiro) was stale, leaves strong and over-salted. Let me not talk of the whiteEgusi soup. I was in awe.I wish someone had warned us! We shook our heads in disappointment and complete shock. But we had paid already before we saw the horror that was our “food”. We ate the disappointment and pain, with dissatisfaction written all over us.This “Madam” did not even care but could clearly see we were unimpressed. No form of courtesy. A brash and cocky woman. She needs several classes in customer service.This restaurant should not be in business. Unless they hire an image-refinement consultant to do a complete overhaul of their restaurant (in both service and interior). This is supposed to be a restaurant abroad for goodness sake and not a buka in Ojuelegba! It doesn’t matter how ancient they are or how many years they have been in existence, they still have a long, long way to go. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We had jollof rice and fried rice with moimoi, goat meat pepper soup and puff puff.Meals were suitably priced, freshly prepared, tasted great. Only complaint is that the goatmeat pepper soup had more bones than chewable meat.The washrooms were neat and well equipped and service was prompt.Did not give more stars because most of the meals advertised were not available.
In all my years in Canada, I received the worst customer service the day I visited this restaurant. I felt like I was begging for food!Not only was the food over priced, the beef tasted very stale, the fried rice didn't look fresh either.The management really has work to do to keep this business.
Pros: great puff-puffCons:The customer service is poor. Contact person is so rude and unfriendly. Food too pricey. Avoid the "suya" sold here.Suya is supposed to be grilled fat skewers of meat, what I was sold was a small pack bits of boiled meat sauted in an oily sauce for $35!
They have the worst customer service of all time and the food is so pricey for no reason. I order jollof rice, chicken and plantains(which cost extra) and they didn't even give me my plantains in the endShe seem vexed every time I go buy food. Last time I go there again
I am not the one that leave negative reviews but I was pushed to the wall here. I ordered Ofada rice and turkey from the restaurant online and I was given something else entirely.This isn’t the first time that they have had my order wrong. One time I ordered jollof rice and plantain and the plantain was missing.Lastly, their food is pricey given the quantity they sell.I will however commend the tastiness of their dish but they need to do better with matching orders to the right customers.
I like this place but I think being honest about the service will help them grow rather than being blindly supportive. Waited for 50 minutes in the restaurant to get my food and there was no proper apology or acknowledgement from the elderly lady. Granted she was overwhelmed but a simple check in every so often and even a discount for the wait would have made the difference. She for some reason treated the situation like she was doing me a favor by serving me what I ordered. Please do better

Sensing her tone was irritated I told her that I was just checking so I could determine if I could wait and then she proceeded to say she’s mad because I’m delaying her and walked away. This woman is absolutely rude and condescending. I don’t understand how she’s still in business. The worst customer experience I’ve ever received. The place should be shut down.

I have never seen people so rude like them.When I called on phone to make enquires they were so rude that I thought the food was for free .I still went down there giving them benefit of doubt and I got the worse treatment .The food is pricey ,tasteless ,old then terrible customer service .
