Location is great, table and set up is ok food is not that bad but I expect more from you as pinoy we are great cooks that we inherent from our parents and our elders . Service is there but there's a lot more to improve we're are the best when it comes to hospitality and I'm proud to be part of those who serve in the Industry for 25 years of experience. Keep it up and I hope next time were going to visit will be great for five ? .
Father's day disaster. I'm a white guy married into a Filipino family and I've had my fair share of home cooked Filipino food, but this was nothing like it. The whole experience was not to the Max, but more like to the Min. Service was awful, waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Then, after an hour of waiting for the food, it finally came, but not all of it. Dishes kept coming 10-20 minutes apart although we ordered them in the same time. Then came the taste, oh boy the taste was something. Something completely different than what I learned to love and enjoy at my family dinners. Bland, fatty, tasteless or overly salty. Overall the wors Filipino food I've ever had. I bet you my white mom can cook better Filipino food than this kitchen. Will never visit here again and do not recommend you wasting your money either!
Still the same Filipino-restaurant that is loved for generations. The crew were cheerful and fast in our order, the food were always delicious, and the place is big enough to serve a lot of families (plus more function rooms for different occasions!). My wife was craving for some Sisig rice, Calamares and Halo-halo, and I know right away where to go. Max’s has a lot of amazing Filipino style dishes like Kare-kare, sizzling tofu, Pork sisig, pancit and their famous Max’s Fried Chicken. Come check it out!
Although I rated it 5 stars , I am very disappointed with the service. It took over an hour to get my food despite of calling the restaurant half hour before.They told me it would be ready within 30 minutes. I got there and the waiters and waitresses just ignored me. They were walking in and out of the kitchen, and no one paid attention to me for almost half an hour. I finally walked up to the waiter to ask about my order, after 10 more minutes he came up to me so I can pay for my order. After that it took another 15 minutes before I actually got my food. Sad thing is that I ordered many times before and only 1 time I only had to wait 10 minutes. Needless to say I will not be going back soon because of the bad service. I believe this is not Servers fault but the blame falls on bad management. The management needs to seriously assess their lack of staff which is causing very poor service!

The restaurants ambiance was very pleasing compared to Vancouver's branch. It was quiet when we sat down and 30 mins later big groups started coming. Felt bad about the server as literally it was a one man show. Our food took long, understandable. Crispy pata was really good and we ordered the pork sisig. The pork sisig was not the best thats why im giving it a 4star.
Try to go there but there was only one server and I was looking for more like a vegan menu and the server said they have meat in all dishes but he can asked the chef to remove the meat from the dish. It was too much to ask and he seems busy with 3 other tables. He was friendly and honest. We went to the mall instead.
Overall food was good, some were below par especially the chicken tasted too too dry.Plus, we were disgusted by the idea that servers automatically add in 15% tip to your bill. Customers should have the decision whether to put in extra money depending on the service and quality of the experience
Food came fast, hot, as well as delicious! Our server did a great job ensuring we were enjoying our time. She always checked up on us and was overall, very kind. I will definitely come back to taste more on their menu! ?
Just held a small family gathering at the Max's Restaurant in Calgary NE location and I had lots of questions when planning this. Sherwin was professional & a pleasure to deal with. Staff at the restaurant were efficient. Food was awesome and deserts was delicious. Thanks Sherwin for a great experience!
