I was in Calgary for 7 days. Tried indian food at 5 restaurants . Lotus is the best one among all.Very tasty food. Tried Shahi Paneer, Veg Biryani, Cheese Naan. All were outstanding. Shahi Paneer is sweet like Malai Kofta but it was delicious. Veg biryani was excellent. Try their Cheese Naan. This will be my first place to go for Indian food when I visit Calgary Again.
This is our favourite Indian restaurant in Calgary. Good sized portions. Friendly service. Wish they were not closed on Tuesday...because you know, sometimes I want Indian on Tuesday.
We've done pick up and delivery over the last few months and the food quality and portion size has been excellent. The lamb vindaloo and paneer pakoras are delicious. Will be dining in soon.
Ordered the fish curry, goat (curry? Of sorts) and fancy naan with nuts and cheesey naan. Everything was amazing! Took the left overs home and family also loved it!The cheesy naan was a bit too cheesy tho, but apart from getting fatty, it was still great.Would love to go back again!
We hosted an event here in November and we could not have been happier. The service was professional and kind. The food was delicious. Everyone in our party, familiar with Indian food or not, loved the food has been raving since. Thanks for being such great hosts to us!
The food was AMAZING!! So fresh, hot and spiced perfectly. The menu has a very nice variety of classic dishes and the descriptions of the dishes are nicely laid out. The ambiance of the restaurant is actually quite romantic and quaint. I loved it. The service was extremely friendly, professional yet personal and I found that the serving sizes were good which says alot about a restaurant. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!
I ordered the butter chicken and some rice for delivery, it arrived well packed and clean. The portions were generous and the food tasted wonderful!
We ordered butter chicken, lamb korma, palak paneer, with some plain naan and basmati rice for pick up today. Every dish had an excellent flavour profile, spices were very well blended. It was our first time ordering from this place. It will be our go to restaurant for Indian food from now on. Very helpful customer service as well.
