I am never eating here again. I barely write reviews and I don't like to be negative, but this was too much.I used to come here at least once every 1-2 months to get because the vegetable samosas for my family because they are really good. I'm a huge fan of butter chicken and they had it on their menu, so why would I not try it? MAN was that a mistake, and I'm pretty sure I developed taste aversion from this place now. First of all, it's $15. Second, the sauce isn't actually sauce, it's literally has the same viscosity as water. Third, they put 7 or less pieces of chicken inside that aren't very big. Fourth, I woke up at 6 in the morning because it gave me a massive stomach ache. Why would I not just get butter chicken from Faisal Kabab Hut? Their butter chicken is $10, with amazing sauce and big pieces of chicken in it. THAT is worth my money, plus it doesn't come out badly on the other end!
Chicken Biryani, beef samosas, Nankhatai cookies, and the price were all fantastic. The vibe in the store could use some attention.
Fantastic food every single great time. Best Naan in the city and their Bihari Kebab are to die for.
Thanks for the 7 small cubes of paneer in the shahi paneer. Next time, just leave out the paneer altogether. Also, highly recommend everyone going here to check out the restaurant inspection reports on Alberta Health for this restaurant before eating here
Amazing food, must try beef bihari kabab here.
One of the best bihari kababs I’ve had since moving to Calgary. Also, their charga is really good.
I have been going to this place for about three years now. I like their flavors, that is different from traditional North Indian food. To be honest there has been few misses in the past related with orders but overall I still like this plac and their pric is reasonable too.
Love their Lahori cholay and Bihari Kebab!
Fyi this is the first time I had Pakistani food, though I've had other Indian foods before. I had the chicken biryani, butter chicken, mutton, veggie samosa and the beef kebab. The chicken biryani was very good, the rice was cooked perfectly and went well with the chicken in the dish. You could really taste all the spices they use in the dish. The samosas pack very good heat for the spicy lover, for me (a weakling) it was too much.Everything else was too salty. The butter chicken, beef and the mutton was too salted. The worst was the mutton. Were there spices? I wouldn't know, all I knew was salt. It felt like my tongue was being prepared to be jerkied with the amount of sodium I ate.All in all, if you come here I would recommend the biryani. Will I return? Probably not
One of the best chicken biryani and kadhai in town. It is affordable and is a decent portion size. I like the spice level and it brings the authentic pakistani touch. They use good rice as well...a lot of other places use thick rice. There timings are not always accurate. SOmetimes their website and google says they are open but they are NOT open. Thats my only concern.
