Loved this place back in the day. But today the service was both unfriendly and actually non-existent. After sitting and waiting 10 minutes, I left....Maybe it was nine minutes? Anyway, what's clear—and you can see this from one of your cameras—is that your unfriendly waitress spent those nine minutes cleaning tables, and taking new orders from existing clients without nary a word to me at mine. No excuse for poor service, other than poor training. Which isn't one. Hope things improve. It used to be a friendly corner of the neighbourhood.
Great pub, nice atmosphere. Beer was great. Don’t go for the food… Sunday roast was cold, overcooked and dried out beef, cold reheated potatoes with a tiny bit of gravy. Yorkshire pudding was cold and crispy.
Great staff, awesome food and a nice side step in Kensington.
Checked out Kesington Pub recently with the menu change and the food was incredible! A must try is the Guinness braised short ribs and hazelnut cream puff. Same great staff and atmosphere as always.
Good service, great beer prices, but way too crowded for me. Wearing a mask from the door to a table in a place that's crowded with tables and no barriers whatsoever (like the good old pre-pandenic days) is pointless. If you want to catch covid or just enjoy a bit of normalcy, this would be the place to go!!! Full of young people having a great time.
Super cute and cozy pub. Had a great time as I've come several times already. However the last time, the waitress decided to cut me off after sharing one bottle of wine with my friend over a span of 3 hours (we had snack and food too). It was weird and uncalled for as I've had waaaay more the previous times including a couple weeks prior.Even my wise and older friend thought the waitress' behavior towards me was strange and we couldn't help but think of the R card towards me (my guest is caucasian). Definitely left a sour experience and we just went somewhere after.
This place is fantastic. No amount of money can create the feeling of Kensington Pub.The vibe, the service, the beef (Guiness on tap). All exceptional. The British food is to die for.Classic British Pub food. Hearty soul food.If I were to make a suggestion to anyone thinking of going,I'd avoid the burgers. If the rest of the place wasn't so damn good the burger in all honestly really would have negatively effected the score.(It speaks to how authentic they are. I'm British, andno one in England can make a burger either)Kensington Pub is however a 5/5 and you should definitely go give it a shot!
Cozy place to hang out with friends. The wierd multi level set up through what I can only imagine is a few older buildings all cut together is fantastic. Looks great and they nail the old English pub.
Great little authentic pub hidden away around the corner. Super Cod & Chips!!
One of my favourite local pubs. They pour a great Guiness and have a good selection on tap including Strongbow. Good traditional English pub fare including a traditional Sunday roast!
