A great local deli that deserves more recognition. Service is very friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is focused on what they do best. They have very tasty meats and sausages. The Reuben is available on white or brown bun and is very good. The meat is moist and flavourful, the sauerkraut is good, and the addition of the Keith’s sausage was tasty. Check it out. I look forward to coming back.
Friends had recommended this deli. We were shopping in the neighborhood and dropped in for a late lunch. We were able to sit at one of the limited number of tables and watch the steady stream of take out orders being served. We will be back.
Both my sausages were dry (Keith's Special and the Keitalian) and probably under the heat lamp for too long. Ordered a spicy beef pattie and it was dry as well. Not as good as the past. Changes were made like a smaller sausage now. You do have the option of extra meat at a cost. So now with the smaller sausage the bun to meat ratio is very poor. It was soooo good in the past. All your long term customers from the past will recognize the negative changes you made.
A fantastic hole in the wall sandwich shop. One of the last places with the fabled jar of pickled eggs, although I didn't have one for fear it was like the food equivalent of the lost ark. As for the sandwiches it doesn't matter what you have, they are all good.Keith seems like a pretty cool guy and the staff makes the place sing.
Not often down here at lunch time but when I am there's not much better in this neighborhood than a good old sausage in a bun. Tasty, well put together and the right size at lunch time for sure. There's a reason they have been in business for so long.
Never had a bad sandwich! Keith's special is delicious. This is somewhere I always bring people from out of town. Super friendly staff and a little bit of nostalgia when you walk in the door
Excellent deli sandwiches here, reminding me of the delis I used to go to in NYC. Super friendly staff, great selection of sandwiches and the sausage is amazing. Highly recommended lunch option in Calgary.
Well decorated and clean place inside. The sandwich was nice and simple and great taste. It did feel a bit expensive with large meat option as well for almost a $10 sandwich. Would come back if want a quick and light snack but not a full meal
I was a little disappointed today as the food was good in the past and probably is but couldn’t eat the food today. It’s been a few years since I’ve been in. I didn’t really notice until after I ordered and was waiting for my sandwich that the man making it wasn’t wearing a mask. In the middle of sandwich making he also rubbed his nose and didn’t go wash them.. Now I understand what happens behind closed door kitchens might be worse but the fact that this was in plain site was a bit off putting especially in todays climate.
This is a staple in Calgary having been in business for 50 years is proof there Deli is worth a visit. The Keith's sausage is stellar and a must. Just try it and you will return time and time again!! ✅
