I order almost weekly from this place on Skip when I am in YYC. I love everything I get and often order more than one meal to save time from having to go grocery shopping and doing my own meal prep. The Guinness stew is by far my favorite, but I force myself to try something different from the menu each time and I’ve never been disappointed ❤️
Very nice atmosphere.Calamari is very good and serving portions are big. Prices are excellent as well.Service can be touch and go. Ushually spot on but do find the girls sometimes tend to pay more attention to the male customers more then the tables with both female and males...sometimes too chatty (with the all male tables) and make other tables wait. The manager seems to pick up on this and will check tables.Aside from that, the service is friendly and welcoming.I do really like this place though, go regularly and would recommend it.A great place to watch the hockey games and super comfortable seating.
1st time coming to Joyce. Came to watch the Oliver vs. Kings playoff game. Was pleasantly surprised as to how delicious and high quality the food is (I prefer the food here over 95% of all the other restaurants I've been to in calgay). Ambiance was perfect for the game. Staff was friendly and provided good service. A regular of the bar named John ended up randomly buying our meal, his act of kindness touched my heart. His kindness will never be forgotten. Thanks Joyce and John!
Just happened now that we were on table 24, served by Keyra and we had absolutely NO SERVICE at the last 90 min. Her fault? Idk. I think managers gave her way too many tables and she could not handle. Fact.Regardless, I understand it was a busy night, but honestly 90 f minutes without a waitress to serve us drink and food? Waaaay too long. My guests were hungry, thirsty and furious!! So disappointed.
Wasn't a real fan of this restaurant. The service was horrible and the food wasn't anything to write home about. They say kids are allowed but I wouldn't bring my kid in there to be around a bar crowd like that.My wife actually found the server to be offensive and we didn't stay too long after eating. We instead walked over to Earls across the street for after dinner drinks.
amazing staff, the manager is awesome from hockey season through rugby season. my bar of choice.
Our Family just celebrated Mother’s Day brunch at the Joyce on 4th and I just had to say the breakfast we all had was truly amazing! The Eggs Benedict was so tasty! Was nice to find this hidden little gem of a pub that allowed children in during the day, every other restaurant in the city was a mad house with mile long line ups if you didn’t have a reservation for mother day, we walked right in and had a seat and it was totally stress free with a super friendly waitress. Thanks for the great brunch and tasty ceasers! We will definitely be back
Hard to beat the daily specials - especially Monday wing night and the $9.99 schooners (1L) of beer!
I am a football guy but wanted to watch the England vs Ireland Rugby match on Saturday and a friend of mine who used to work at Joyce on 4th recommended I go to there for the match. What a great day. The place was packed with an amazing atmosphere. The service at the bar was top shelf, the Guinness as good as you will find anywhere and the breakfast excellent as well. The only negative was England lost the match!
Very disappointed with the attitude/service from the waitress tonight. I guess a single, independent woman just looking for a beer , steak dinner & to watch a curling game doesn’t count here. No worries, I took my order & my 25% tip across the street to Earl’s!
