We ordered 2 rice bowls (one mixed - beef and chicken and the other was just beef) as well as a chicken sharwarma wrap. We were shocked that the rice bowls do not have a single vegetable - lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion... nothing.But that really wasn't the worst. The beef wasn't beef. Rather goat's meat or maybe mutton. Both of which I'm allergic to. Thankfully they can be differentiated from beef by the smell.I've given 2 stars instead of one because the wrap was okay.
Is this my favorite shawarma place? Not really, but the quality of the food is pretty consistent and this is very well located. I don't like the fact that they are a franchise as it is not a unique and more enjoyable place to eat but for a quick stop it is perfectly fine. Located just within walking distance from Ikea, best buy and many other stores. Great tasting fast food.
We went there yesterday not knowing they close at 8pm on a Saturday. Since it is located at deerfoot meadows it does make sense. Summer time, it's hard to know what time it is because the sun is still out. Anyways, we ordered and paid. I saw the one employee cleaning and putting up the chairs. People were still coming in so I thought grab a table. Then 1 guy said... you only have 10 mins to eat! I was NOT happy about this! If they told us right away when we ordered, we could have de idea what we wanted.Good thing I was familiar with the area, and I remembered there are outdoor tables and chairs by fat burger.I just wish that they would have said something when we were ordering... like hey we are closing in 10 mins. It's only take out at this point.That way we are not stressed out of thinking where can we sit and enjoy our meal.Once we had our food.. I find the most very dry. Not impressed. I dont have any luck with this location. I still like the shawnessy location.
Never disappoints. My favourite Jerusalem Shawarma in the city! Their garlic sauce is amazing too! Appreciated being given the complimentary baklava and extra garlic sauce :)
The best location is in Shawnessy!! Go c Simo manager In Shawnessy.In this location, I have ordered royal kabab mix salad, and it was a very rude response from staff regarding add-on like garlic sauce.......I will never buy these again; I spent almost $40 bux, and it wasn't worth it....
Like the food here but tried to order delivery and they confirmed the order and then 1.5 hours later they canceled the order because they had closed. Why confirm if you can’t fulfill it? Just say no. Simple. Terrible customer service.
This place is delicious, but be super careful ordering over the phone or through the website. We just had a terrible experience with them not labeling a wrap for someone with an allergy and they implied we were at fault somehow. I'm sorry if our allergies inconvenienced your staff. Please label items.
Best Jerusalem shawarma best food in YYC
We've gone to about 5 different Jerusalem Shawarma locations and this one had not only the slowest service but also with the smallest food portions. I not only ate mine, but ate my wife's since the regular donair was one of the smallest donairs I've ever seen. I normally don't eat a lot, just to give one an idea of how little it was.
Excellent service and delicious food. If you have the time to dine in, they make a fabulous house tea.
