It is a dough-NOT-for-all. The price is double for a dozen compare to a popular donut chain. That is wby they cannot mass produce as well because not all can afford or else their donuts will stale.

A light donut with lots of sugar on it to compensate, flavors are non-standard - could be like cheating on the real thing (cake flavors that the donuts are trying to capture). Is it worth $40/dozen? For me - No, I didn't feel any better spending so much on donuts (although the culture says, if it costs more it must be better)The whole reason I was sent there for was the maple bacon - not mind blown/wowed. A Timmy's maple with cooked bacon crumble on it would taste exactly the same (but then again, Timmy's makes a hole in their donut - so....less sugar???).

My 11 year old son - who is the pickiest of picky eaters and tries nothing out of his usual repertoire - boldly tried a vanilla donut from here (I was feeling crazy one day and ordered him one for his school fun lunch) and he had what can only described as an out of body experience. His message to me was simple - yet totally clear:Mom - this is The BEST donut. Honestly. It is perfection.

Associate suggested stopping in after lunch. Best decision ever. Had before, but first time in shop. Selection is light for sure. But was not difficult to pick a couple donuts out. We bought a dozen so everyone got 3 each. I'm ashamed to say I ate all three that afternoon. Too good to not. The earl grey was different and so so good. Expensive but worth it as an occasional treat.

I confess that I was a little disappointed, the place has many flavors and when I was in the store few options but it is without a doubt one of the best donut places I've ever been. The dough is soft. The flavors are interesting and unique. Try Modern Donuts at least once! But I would really like to know what is the best time in the house to find more options?

Bought these doughnuts and they're the bomb! Strawberry jelly, blueberry lemon and coconut are my fave flavours. They also carry mini ones, too. Not too sweet for my taste. Highly recommend this place to be checked out ??????

Jelly Modern Donuts has the best donuts in Calgary! (Maybe even Western Canada?) They offer a seasonal flavor of the month, but I usually go for my favorites! I am obsessed with the Coconut donut with its creamy coconut custard in the centre- it tastes like the beach smells! The Lemon Curd is a close second, and the Maple Bacon is a beautiful combination of flavors and textures! Amazing donuts, baked fresh daily, and what they don't sell at the end of the day gets donated to non profits.

I used the live down the street for years and always loved Jelly Modern. The flavours they have are all perfect in my opinion, interesting and complex without being overwhelmingly sweet. I can't help wonder if the reviews saying they have no flavour are from people who smoke a pack a day or just have poor taste to begin with (if this is you then maybe just stick to Safeway or Walmart). Coming right in the morning when they are fresh and still warm is absolutely the best. The classic jelly is my favourite for sure. They also donated to a nonprofit I volunteer for which is awesome!

Service is good, but don’t sure why they don’t stock up on donuts .. earl grey always sold out

Went here because we of the buzz.Definitely disappointed. Rude staff, the place reeked of cleaning fluid where it permeated the donut and the donut was not worth the money.Superstore makes a better donut. For a gourmet donut shop I expect more.
