Just the friendliest, most accommodating staff ever. They truly do their best to ensure you have a great experience with awesome products. I called with a long shot request for a same day party platter and they went over and beyond to make it happen. The platter was a hit for a work birthday party, and the variety, presentation, and freshness of ingredients was impressive. Many thanks for making my day! And next time, I’ll definitely plan ahead better to order ahead hahaha. Thanks again! You guys rock!
One of my go to European markets in town. Always a huge selection of product that’s fun to peruse, if not buy. I wouldn’t regularly purchase my groceries from here, as it’s pricier than a standard grocery store. But, if you’re looking for specialty products or a fun experience, this is the place to check out. The market also has a bistro that serves great coffee, food, and treats.
There is a huge deli and cheese case, ready made (delicious!) meals, locally made frozen foods, fresh baked breads, SO many varieties of pasta and olive oil, but the best part about the Italian Centre Shop in Calgary is how friendly and helpful all the staff is. I highly recommend checking it out!
I normally come here for shopping, but I decided to try their pizza tonight. Is not bad, but it took more than 15 minutes for them to bring it to my table, I'm almost sure they forgot about it as it wasn't hot when it arrived. Also, the Italian soda (just soda water with a dash of syrup) was a rip off at $4 for a medium size cup half full of ice.
This café is a favourite place of ours! Delicious hot beverages and pastry. Great pizza and sandwiches. The grocery store has a large selection of everyday and specialty items. I find some of their items less expensive than the major grocery stores.
Great selection of hard to find food items. My favorite place to get condiments and other accoutrements like spicy pickled eggplants.They also stock vegan "chicken" and "beef" bouillon which is fantastic.
Great selection of gluten free pasta, breads and other treats. The deli counter is always a must stop.They also have a wicked selection of bitters and cool beverages.
So much good food, pricing on deli meats is way better than grocery stores. We go here often.
UPDATE: December 29, 2021As much as I like this place, I cannot agree at all with the ridiculous and illegal medical passports they are forcing upon their paying customers. This is the same thing that is happening to other restaurant owners across Alberta and this country. It's time to wake up these managers and stand against this tyrannical government before losing your businesses to the Facist Marxists. It is a blatant violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to demand personal medical information from any citizen of this country. Educate yourself and open your eyes.--------------------------------The first time I entered this place I was "WOWed"! I like coffee beans and after coming here once and seeing their vast selection, I will never buy beans anywhere else. I also tried the food in their restaurant and it was fabulous. The staff are fantastic and super friendly and helpful. I had to get some advice on the huge selection of coffees and Renatto was more than eager to offer his expert advice. I will return here often and highly recommend this fine store to everyone.
Such a great market. The atmosphere is friendly and there are always unique little foods to discover. Nick was unpacking pastas and took the time to explain the difference between some of the flat noodle pastas. He was very helpful and kind. The deli counter staff are super informative and take the time to explain the tastes of the various selections. Their bread is amazing too!! Love going there.
