Professional establishment. Good service with high quality ingredients.
My wife and I went to Hy's on the occasion of her 70th birthday. We had not been to Hy's since we graduation from high school (52 years) so taking her there was a surprise. She was delighted. We were both delighted that our memory of this wonderful establishment were supported. We were treated as though were celebrities. Our host/server Tony is a credit to Hy's high standards of service and is to be commended for his attention to detail. Needless to say the food was impeccable as were the beverages. We even went back in time and started with a singapore sling for my wife and a zombie for me neither of which had either of us had had since our last Hy's visit. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Hy's.
Our server Mike and staff have exceeded our expectations. Our meals, cocktails, atmosphere and overall service was outstanding. We will return the next time weâre in Calgary.

Loved every minute of Hy's. Can't recommend it enough. The food, the service. As someone who frequents high end restaurants, this is top of the line. I can't recommend Viktor as the server enough. His knowledge, and kindness made the whole experience even better. If you go, you have to ask for him. We'll definitely be going back
Our dinner was fabulous! Cannot say enough! From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, we were treated like the only guests there. Tony was our server and he was AMAZING! He talked us through the whole menu, helped us pick out our wine and suggested delicious meals and desserts! This restaurant is definitely a 5+. A must go!!! You wonât be disappointed.
I understand the staffing issues, but in a high end restaurant, there should be no excuses. I also understand cost have gone up. First off the positive; food was great. cooked perfect. Now for the not so positive. The menu must have a misprint or maybe we got an old menu. Says the filets are 6oz. When they arrived, they were definitely not 6 oz. At best they were 3 oz. Brought that to the attention of the waiter and he said âI only bring out what they give meâ So at an estimated 3oz that would be $245/lb. Nice.
Hy's has great food and the service is outstanding. Prices are a little high.
Amazing! Service and food was absolutely fantastic highly recommend the scallops and steak Diane which is served table side. Amazing experience will be back for sure.
Amazing food and great service, eating here is a wonderful experience and I will be back for another meal next time Iâm in Calgary.
