So amazing, I feel bad for the only employee (short-staffed) who was just flying behind the counter. Everything was delicious and my family were all very happy with their food. On top of being insanely busy she took the time to boost our understanding of Chinese culture in a quick conversation.
My boyfriend and I came here on a whim. Neither of us are vegan or vegetarian but we were curious because we had never heard of vegan Chinese food. I will say, I was pretty disappointed. The dumpling soup I got was okay but the stuffed tofu roll and Singapore vegetarian meat noodles were not that great. The tofu rolls had a nice texture but it didn't really taste of much. You need to dip it in a lot of the sauce to really make it taste like anything. The noodles were overly spicy and pretty dry. They didn't distribute the curry powder in the cook very well and some of the noodles were quite hard.I wasn't sure why this place got so many great reviews. Perhaps because there aren't many vegan/vegetation options for Chinese food, people are desperate.
Some of the best vegetarian friendly Chinese food I’ve ever had. For sure the best in Calgary (maybe western Canada ?) if you want veg-versions authentic dishes . So much love and care has gone into every dish. This place is super special !
I'm not even vegan and I come here on a regular basis! Well priced vegan Chinese food with quality ingredients. I dont even realize the food isnt meat lol!Portions are huge and I enjoy the crispy noodles the most! The only critical thing I have to say is that my orders are occasionally wrong if ordering by delivery.
Don’t let appearances fool you… this place is legit! I had the vegetable and gluten chow mein (D2 on the menu) and it was delicious - the noodles were crispy, the sauce was tasty and not too salty or gloopy, and the veggies were a standout - super fresh and had a nice crunch to them. A big serving size too - great value.
We discovered this gen when walking around and exploring DT Calgary. The food tasted awesome. The person at the counter was very patient and friendly even though they were swamped on a Friday evening. My partner is a vegetarian who loves Chinese cuisine. The Vegan chicken with rice we ordered was very authentic and got the kick of pepper just right. This place is a must-try.
The best place for VEGAN Chinese food. This place has all the alternatives for all kinds of meat. The taste of the food is delicious. Not at all pricey. The quantity of the food compared with the price is perfect, not less at all. The service by the staff members was too good, they explained each and every thing thoroughly when asked for.
My wife and I have been coming here for quite some time. It's one of our favorite restaurants and I have yet to have a bad experience. The food is amazing (we always do cashew chicken, salt and pepper eel, and sweet and sour pork) and the staff is always friendly. I can't recommend them enough!
*I'm vegan / First time going here. I'm eating right now and the food is really delicious!! It looks exactly as the picture! I got the "vegan ginger beef on fried rice" and the "stuffed tofu roll" :) the service is good and you don't have to wait a lot. I will come back!
This was by far the best Chinese I’ve ever had in canada. Vegan or otherwise. Wow wow wow.I am thoroughly impressed. Like gob smacked. We ordered the king pao chickn and green beans and everything was so fresh - the “meat” was crazy - how do you make this so tasty? If it wasn’t an entirely veg place I would have been convinced they sent me meat.I’m shook people. We are visiting - but I will eat here every time we come back.
