We've been here a few times for pizza a day its one of our preferred places as we love the Greek style pizza! We got Gus' Special which includes shrimp. I would have generally given a 5 start for taste and possibly service but the shrimp has the sh%t trails still in them.....disgusting! I mentioned this and the server didn't seem to really care! Seems for other photos this is a common occurrence! I was super disappointed the server or no one else at very minimum addressed the issue on ANY level! Then the bottom is super soggy, we had to ask for extra napkins so we could mop it up so it didn't get more and more soggy. I agree with another person's post....pans with the holes may help! Disappointed. Will probably opt for Matador Pizza over Gus's next time just cause they didn't really seem to care. Anyhow, we ended up pulling all the shrimp off! If you don't care for the poop trails....don't get the shrimp!!!
Pizza was pretty good but wasn't worth the terrible service... had to go up the the front to get ranch because it wasnt brought when we asked and then our wings weren't brought out until we were almost done the pizza... could have let that stuff slide, i understand wait staff get busy and sometimes food takes awhile, but the staff were also very rude and disrespectful. Never been met with so much attitude and sourness. Too bad I didn't get the girls name because she should definitely not work in a customer service setting. She even outwardly complained about our tip not being the greatest to us! but honestly we shouldn't have tipped at all. My family and I were appalled and despite the pizza being pretty tasty we will never return and recommend others don't either.
Pizza was ok. But there’s so many better places. The wings sucked, and the service was the worst I ever had. My family and I go out a lot, and never been so disrespected in a place ever for no reason. Don’t go, I highly recommend it.
After eating at Gus’s; I became violently ill with nausea/ vomiting and diarrhea. Approximately 6 hours after eating their ham and bacon pizza. This started at 23:00 ish By 01:30 I was admitted at Airdrie Urgent Care Centre; hooked up to IV Fluids, Gravol and Zofran to mitigate the violent wretching. All signs pointed to Salmonella. Samples were taken; and I was advised to have my left overs tested also. When I phoned Gus’s to report this issue; I was met with rude, asinine and defensive words. I was told rudely; “we’re very careful” Clearly not. Salmonella contamination can occur in any food establishment regardless of how careful they are. Maybe someone didn’t wash hands long enough. Maybe the meat got warm. Most restaurants thank their patrons for reporting food related illnesses without getting defensive and rude. Just goes to show how much they care. A case with AHS Environmental/ Public Health Standards has been opened. Maybe you’ll care now hey Gus?
Great customer service and of course the pizza is amazing! Ordered ahead for pizza pick up. Arrived for pick up and they were quite busy, of course because it is a very popular place. Had to wait, then wait more than expected but they were busy and trying. Went to the car to wait then a nice surprise, I saw someone walking the parking lot with a pizza looking for me. Totally not expected in addition to offering a free salad with the pizza as a courtesy for having to wait.Great place, great people, great food and......well worth the wait.Thank You!
Service was very good. I dined in today. Outside pizza crust, mushrooms, ground beef, cheese and sauce tasty. However, the bacon wasn't what I expected. It's the sliced light colored meat visible on the partially eaten slice in photo (I had to ask what it was since i thought there might be a mix up). I guess I thought it would be crumbled bacon like most places so I didn't get a bacon taste from the pizza at all. It was fine but just something to be aware of. The worst part for me was the soggy bottom crust. I still ate it of course but I would have enjoyed it much much more if it hasn't been so soggy. Maybe they need to serve on pizza pans with the holes in them so grease can drain. To be fair, I didn't complain so they didn't have the opportunity to fix it.
Not the best ? I’ve had, but still with some positive feedback. Stringy/melty cheese, and fresh and crisp veggies and toppings. The top and sides were nice and crunchy! However, the bottom crust and parts of the centre felt very wet/soggy, and the toppings started sliding off. I would say it felt more like eating a sandwich than a pizza because I feel like it could be more cohesive. Also oops, did not know that the restaurant would reimburse the parking fee but I paid for it regardless.
Such an amazing vibe in the place and one of the best Italian cuisine places I've went too. Their pizza and pasta were very cheesy and delicious! The servers were friendly as well and loved the overall atmosphere the place had.
Some of the service staff is pathetic and down right rude. Who cares about the food if the service staff lacks basic courtesy and politeness.Hard to say whom they hate more. Delivery guys or people of color.BTW, I've no complains about having to stand outside the door as per the 'SYSTEM'. But when asked how long before my order would be ready, 'I don't know. I'M NOT MAKING IT' without so much as even an eye contact is not the right response. It's a sign of frustration and hatred not professionalism.
Went there for lunch after my son's appointment. Absolutely delicious pizza, possibly the best in the city. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend if you are around the foothills hosp.
