Outstanding service and extremely tasty. We received our food so fast, so many great options to choose from. Will definitely go back.

Food is AWESOME. The server was really friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely come back!

Tried another Chinese restaurant in downtown. We were supposed to try a different Chinese Restaurant but they said they have a function and can't accommodate the 2 of us even if the whole place is empty when we got there and there was no sign that they are only exclusive for a function today, so we just walk around Chinatown to check other places, then we found Great Taste Chinese Restaurant. Some restaurants around the area seems empty but Great Taste seem to have some customers, so we went in. I like their appetizers, they taste good but main course is just ok. We ordered the five spiced beef (cold) and the steamed crab and pork dumplings for appetizer. It was also my first time to try a taste of a soup dumpling and I enjoyed it. So far the best dumplings I tried. For main we ordered kung pao chicken and chicken fried rice. I also asked for hot water and lemon and I didn't know they charge you for that, only upon paying that you will know. Oh well, I guess some restaurants really charge for water. Maybe next time I will try more of their appetizers than the main. ?

Came for the xiaolongbao, enjoyed everything we ordered — especially the soup dumplings and soy sauce fried noodle with bean sprouts.Service was friendly and fast. Will return next time I’m in Calgary.Location tip: if you’re visiting the area and want a nice after-dinner walk, this spot is about a 10-minute walk from the Peace Bridge.

My friends and i went to this restaurant to try but the service was bad. We ordered dumplings and the bottom was raw. The lady in the cashier even forced us to give tips even we dont want to. We will never come back here!

We had a pleasure tasting multiple plates. Every single one was very good and fresh. Will return when back in Calgary for sure.

Still a reliable Chinese restaurant in terms of quality and service after the pandemic. Provides mostly northern Chinese cuisine with abundant choices of dishes.

Food was slightly overpriced, especially in Chinatown despite being in downtown Calgary. The food was actually pretty good. Flavourful and strong, exactly as I expect the dishes to be.The parking outside is limited, having to pay for parking also. The Salted Fish and Chicken has a strong fishy taste which is very good.

I wish I could give them 0 star but there is no option. On April 12, we ordered three dishes. One of them called “shuizhuyu- spicy fish in the soup”. We noticed that there were two pieces of hair in the soup. It was so disgusting. The attitude of the waitress made this experience even worse. We wanted to cancel the remaining two dishes which hadn’t been delivered yet, as we were worrying about the sanitary conditions of this restaurant. Also, it was hard to continue eating after finding these two pieces of disgusting hairs. The waitress did not allow us to cancel the two dishes as she thought there were no issue of these two dishes. She asked us “ We can not cancel the two dishes, what do you want to do?” We were so shocked about this attitude!!!! At the end, they continued to deliver the two dishes and we paid the full price for them. We will never come back to this restaurant again.

One of my fav go to places for Chinese food. The soup dumplings are one of the best in town. Excellent food over-all but what makes this place special is the extra friendly service.
