My orders have been for delivery. I live in Douglasdale and there is a minimum order amount for free delivery. That's understandable. They are also on Skip The Dishes and prices were higher on that site as is typically with skip.When placing my last order, I only had US currency so wanted to know the exchange rate before placing my order. Was what I expected. I didn't need to hear that they needed to exchange it at the bank.While placing my order, the woman told me it was not enough. In my concussion I jut doubled 1 of the items I had ordered. I also requested a menu as I had done with previous orders.When the fellow came with my order, I should have received about $10. in change. When I asked for my change, his response to me was "what about my tip". I told him I wasn't going to give him a $10. tip and just for that I wasn't going to tip at all and demanded my change.Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't give a 15% of my food order tip to delivery people. It's not like they're serving me my food.When I open my order, I am missing 1 of the items and then have 2 of the same thing. Now I'm getting annoyed.After eating, I reviewed the cost of my order. Of course, I still didn't get a menu so went off the skip app. Prices had gone up ( understandably ) but I did expect Skip prices directly from a restaurant. At least with Skip, you get points. I phoned to explain what had happened and was made to feel it was my fault for the misunderstanding. I thought I would call the next day and speak to the manager. When I did call back, I got the same woman I had spoken with previously who said she was the manager. Again not their fault. Didn't even offer me a discount on my next order to compensate me in any way for the mistake or apology for the delivery man. I tried to discuss them charging the same as Skip but all she said was Skip charges more. Not now!There were a couple of times I had to ask her to listen to what I was saying and not keep interrupting me. I gave up and just told her that I would be sharing this on a review.I understand that mistakes happen. That is when the business should be doing something to make sure the customer comes back. I won't order from them again. Peking Express also delivers to me. The prices are better and the recipes are about the same. Ater being told that my chow mein noodles were dry, they are going to do something for me on my next order.To the manager at Golden National, hope you enjoy always being right
Been going here and High River location (now sold) for years. I hope tonight's meal is a one-off as all of us were extremely disappointed with the quality and taste. In particular, the ginger beef was anything but. It appeared to be all batter with NO beef. It certainly didn't even taste same as usual, as there was no ginger taste. Everything else was good. When I called the restaurant, she appeared to not understand.We'll try again, one more time but may have to find a new place for chinese food. Tonight....disappointed.
In fairness we have ordered from here a few times with little issues. However last night we had the worst experience. All the dishes ordered did not taste or look anything like we had ordered in the past. Not sure if maybe under new ownership from the last time we ordered in December but will definitely be a while before ordering here again. Example, we ordered Sweet and Sour pork and it looked and tasted like the Sesame Honey Garlic Chicken. It takes a lot for me to write a review like this but just to let others be aware. Warren B
We had a private function of 10, they reserved the whole restaurant for us to be safe. We really appreciated that! We had dinner for 4 plus ginger beef and ginger chicken, and had enough leftover for 4 more meals, probably should have only ordered dinner for 2 LOL, but leftovers are always nice :)
Firstly, I showed up when they opened. Brought back all the food paid for. Everything was awful. Offered a refund of 30% then 50%. Said the customer is always right. Would not recommend.

The absolute worst Chinese food!! Hot and spicy fried rice tasted like it had been burnt. Sweet and sour chicken balls and sweet and sour ribs, no red sauce, instead a yellow with pineapple, which tasted horrible! It went from my plate straight into my garage can!! Did call to let them know about my displeasure, they thanked me and said everyone loves their food. Never again
Ordered here many times and always happy with what we get. Love their Wonton soup!. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work!
Terrible. Worse than mall Chinese food!!!Paid $17 for a dish and it was garbage. Ginger beef was hard and chewy. Just not good!!! There are Much better places around here for good Chinese!!!
Hands down the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. I was up all night with the worst stomach ache. First of all, it was cold. The spring roll tasted off, like it was rotten. The sweet and sour chicken balls did not have sweet and sour sauce on them ?? The fried rice and vegetables tasted so weird.. like the broccoli didn't even taste like broccoli. Too much MSG I'm guessing?? I don't know. But I barely touched any of the food because it was so gross and still ended up suffering all night. Yuck. Avoid this place at all costs!
