Chinese Cantonese Dim Sum

We have been wanting to try dim sum at this restaurant since its opening and finally made it. We heard they are usually quite busy so decided to go after 1pm on a Monday. The restaurant was still half full, which was quite impressive for a Monday. We ordered lots to share. Our favourite were the truffle scallop shumai, the shrimp dumplings, the pan fried bean curd shrimp rolls, and the pan fried shrimp and chives cakes. Everything else tasted pretty good too. The kids loved the congee although we thought the base would have a bit more flavour, texture was good though. Everyone had a great time.Overall, the quality of food was comparable (better for some items) to the other dim sum restaurants in the area...not sure about pricing but the portions were good. Everything came out hot. The staff were friendly and provided quick service. The ambience was nice. Highly recommended.

New kid on the block!. Dim Sum is pretty good, on par with the 2 big players (TeaPot and Ginger beef) in the NW.Dim sum came out hot! Selection of dim sum dishes was abundant. Shoutout to their curry squid/cuttlefish which you can't find any where these days.Service is a bit slow, but not complaining given that they just opened. Can't wait to try their dinner items..

Been anticipating to try out this place for a while now. Finally got a chance to stop by for a late lunch (1pm) on a Tuesday. They were quite busy, but we were seated fairly quickly, the service was good. The food came out fast. The dim sum was delicious, it didn’t taste salty ?? which is an A+ in my books. Will definitely be back to try out the dinner menu.

Been waiting for this place to open! It’s kinda weird because I’ve been to Tudor Rose and Windsor Rose, both pubs at this location before. Now it’s a Chinese restaurant! The decor is nice, not dark like the pubs but big open space to fit lots of tables (60+). This place was busy and all the table full there was a small waiting line. The food was good, portions were a bit smaller and our food took quite a long time to get to table. We had like 2 dishes on the table all the time. Portions you can see in the photos are a bit small and some of these were their super large dish at higher prices. I’m pretty sure this restaurant is run by the chain of restaurants in Calgary as I recognize some of the staff from our restaurants. All in all a good NW option in Calgary and with 14th street over pass open it’s nice and easy to get to. Good place to try out in NW Calgary!

The take out was quite tasty. The noodle container was a lot heavier then most places, and cooked well. Not overly salty. The salted egg prawns were cooked well, good flavours and a nice tooth feel when you bite into the prawns. Good location, good quality food. Prices are a touch higher however you do get quite a bit for what you paid and pretty decent quality.Menu from March 30, 2022

Love the dim sum here. Portions are a good size, the food is tasty. Favourites are the Chicken feet, pan fried turnip cakes and the spare ribs in black bean sauce. Pea tips in broth is also highly recommended. Egg tarts are nicely rich in taste.

For dinner, servers were courteous. Excellent decor with King Tai Nam chandeliers. Food came fast and was very good. All our guests enjoyed the dinner. Update: unfortunately 3 weeks later, service has gone downhill. The waiter wanted you to order the lobster seafood combo. Seats were back-to-back, and my seat was brushed against many times. It got noisy as there was a banquet, we couldn't hear our guests talk. A drunken guest had fallen outside the restaurant with a bloody face, which was not the restaurant's fault, but it made everyone uncomfortable. We and our guests ended our dinner early.

New Chinese restaurant in the NW! Great because it's like less than 10 mins away from home.It was really busy and we had to wait almost an hour for the first dish to arrive but when it did the food was pretty good. Also the portions were a good size too. Most of the dishes is around $20 each.Staff are pretty nice too and gave us a heads up that since they were so busy, it would be a longer wait.

Probably one of the better (authentic) Chinese restaurants in the NW. We went a couple of days after it opened so it was very busy and a little disorganized which is to be expected. The hostess apologized in advance and asked for feedback for improvement. The noodles definitely had “wok fire” and I loved how the rice rolls were nice and thin. The soup dumplings actually had soup inside and were definitely freshly made. Will come back to try for dinner soon!

Stopped in for dinner. Good portion sizes and food quality made slightly higher menu prices worth it. Servers were extremely friendly. My biggest disappoint is seeing such unforgiving negative reviews for this place on their opening weekend. I’m sure it will take them a little time to iron out kinks and adapt to handling the busy dim sum crowd, but my dinner experience was excellent! Definitely will return and I’m excited by the possibilities presented by this addition to the neighborhood and city’s Chinese fare options.
