Celiac/Gluten Free options marked on the menu. Separate deep fryer for GF tempura. Fresh and tasty. Loved the GF tempura, the GF regular and special rolls we tried and the GF teriyaki beef. If you take-out, they even have GF soya sauce. Excellent service as well.
I had some relatives from out of town visiting and after reading about the gluten free options here we decided to give it a try as one of my group is a celiac and is incredibly sensitive to gluten in food. We decided to stop in for lunch. The menu had many items available in gluten free ranging from calamari to sushi rolls, to soup. My group started with the assorted tempura, and calamari. Both dishes came out quite quickly and were really good for being gluten free, I really couldn't tell the difference between the regular calamari and non gluten free calamari, both were equally good. As for our mains I ordered the chicken noodle soup, my group ordered a bc roll and dynamite roll (gluten free) and one bento box. All in all considering the majority of the options we had ordered were gluten free I must say it was a pleasant experience. If your looking for gluten free sushi and Japanese cuisine definitely give globe in Kensington a try

Great suggestions and helped me get exactly what I wanted.I order 2 assorted sashimi Platters, and 2 specialty rolls, (crazy buster & triple threat).The assorted sashimi was to die for. 1 wasn't enough I had to order it again. The tuna was perfect and delicious.The rolls were great but my favorite was the crazy buster! Big Fresh cut of tuna and good salmon!The decor and seating is very nice, hip, and has a great atmosphere! I will be back and highly recommend!
I ordered tuna and salmon sashimi and the tuna was frozen when it got too my table and both didn’t taste very fresh. Sashimi is a pretty good sign of a sushi restaurants quality so I’d say it’s safe to assume their quality isn’t great. On top of this the sushi and sashimi was overpriced too!
My husband order from here a LOT! They have the best sushi in Calgary. I am vegetarian and they have the best vegetarian rolls I have tried in any sushi restaurant. My husband is a big seafood lover and loves the Favourite Sushi combo. Love the black and brown rice options, they give it such a unique flavour. Service has always been consistently good and the restaurant has a nice ambiance.
Came here for dine in and we had an alright experience. Sushi was good but a lot of the rolls we got had the same spicy sauce which was rather sweet. Wasn’t a fan of the western touch to sushi. Sashimi was okay.
Booked a reservation here for my sister’s birthday and it went so well! Our party had some vegan & gluten-free dietary requirements. I did a lot of research to find a sushi place that could accommodate everyone and this was the only one with a great selections for all our guests. Other places only had salads, edamame, or regular cucumber/avocado rolls for vegan options. But their menu had a whole section for vegan items - including specialty rolls- and stated which items were gluten-free. All the servers were so kind and patient with all the dietary questions, which was very much appreciated by the vegans. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It was a classy space and would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving sushi!!! At the end (I think it was the manager), the manager offered to take pictures of us which was really nice! 10/10 would come here again :)
We went here for my sisters birthday and we were all so impressed. The staff was so friendly and answered all the questions we had regarding some of our family members diets. Their vegan menu was great, we loved it and will definitely be back. Thank you Globefish Kensington!
Amazing!!! It was my first time here and I was very impressed with their Vegan Menu. It's often hard for us to find options that meet our dietary restrictions but Globefish Kensington had it all! Will definitely be back, thank you guys again :)
