Hands down the best ramen I had minus in Japan. The broth is rich and flavourful couldn’t recommend it more
Unfortunately didn't have a chance to properly try my takeout order, because the hot broth straight up melted the cap of its container and the entirety of it ended up spilling out. The owner was friendly but please use a better container for this kind of thing.
Hands down the best ramen I have ever had. The broth is so flavorful and rich without being too heavy. The karage is tender enough to melt in your mouth. To top it all off the owners are so kind and welcoming! The only downside is due to covid they have been forced into a cramped and awkward kitchen. I strongly recommend you to support them!!
What a interesting place, pool hall and ramen shop. The owner is very friendly and works very hard. The ramen is super delicious and not at all what you would expect to find in this little shop! Very delicious broth, springy noodles, super tender and charred pork, wonderful marinated egg. Definitely recommend! Had the spicy miso ramen and the karaage! Both fantastic!
Some of the best ramen I've had the pleasure of eating in this city. I could happily just drink any of the broths for the rest of my life. The noodles, while not made on site, tasted fresh and had the texture I LOVE ramen to have and didn't lose any flavor or consistency after sitting in the broth. This is my new go to ramen place.
Food is still as delicious as always. The noodles have a wonderful texture. The pork belly is always ? flavorful. The service is friendly and the chef always comes out to say hello.
I used to go to this place alot before they moved to their new location at 32nd avenue for their tsukemen before covid happened. Now I don't wanna go back anymore after my most recent experience.I ordered tsukemen again as usual but it was ...different. The broth was thinned out, so it didn't stick to the noodles and each bite only had a slight hint of flavour from the broth and the overwhelming taste of flour from the noodles. I didn't even have the dashi broth your supposed to add at the end on the table, the dish came to the table like that. When I used the spoon to have the broth with the noodles (it did help by the way), I felt the purpose of 'dipping ramen' was defeated and was only eating regular ramen but with significantly less soup. I told the server (I guess he's the owner too) about my disappointment. He told me that he had complaints that it was "too sticky" and that everyone has different preferences. Then he went on a tangent saying that he's supposed have the soup line up to a certain point in the bowl, sticking his thumb in my soup bowl mid-meal to explain this. He also added to ask for the broth to be thicker the next time I come, at the expense of the volume and that he can only put two scoops in the bowl.I know he was trying "accommodate to as many customers" as possible but to me it felt like he was cutting costs somewhere to a point it compromised the dish. The tsukemen lost it's texture in the process and the things he told me felt like excuses. Even if some of the things he says may be true then that's a different set of opinions I won't say here. I would like go back to see if asking for a thicker broth would help but what happened makes me not wanna give it a second chance. It's truly a shame because there aren't many in places in Calgary for tsukemen.
This is my #1 go to Ramen place. The soup just hits the right spot and goes with everything in the bowl (I usually have the miso ramen) The noodles are absolutely outstanding, being one of the best noodles I've tried. The noodle/s accompanies the soup and egg perfectly.This is definitely one of a kind ramen
The customer service is regularly rapid, lovely mood, very friendly staff members. Will visit here again when I get here.
I got the spicy miso, and was blown away. First of all the charsu pork was so tender and well seasoned, the noodles had a great bite to them, the broth was very delicious and well balanced. The chef was very kind and welcoming. If you are looking for some good ramen this place will not disappoint.
