This is my favourite Chinese food in Calgary and I've been eating here since the late 90s! My favourite things on the menu are the Szechuan style fried Shanghai noodles, the palace style chicken, which is amazing and their special egg Foo Young. I've tried a ton of other items and have loved most. The ginger beef if super gingery and tasty without being cloyingly sweet. Green onion pancakes.. I could go on.
Large food portion and reasonable prices. This is my comfort food as I come here once a while since 90’s. Although Owner changed, i can still feel their traditional HK style food.
Just ate the most fantastic wonton soup at Fat Kee. Look what's next!
Delicious food at very reasonable prices. I had the wonton noodles with beef brisket and the beef was tender, noodles just right and the wontons flavorful. Yummy comfort food and the hostess was very nice.
Fat Kee is a Chinese Mom and Pop restaurant.Nothing flashy, nothing fancy.They do few things only and they do them well.I like this spot for three reasons:1) simple comfort food2) reasonable price and good portions3) courteous and fast service

Great food at great prices! Portion is very generous! Very traditional and authentic taste. One of the few restaurants in Calgary where I can find a taste of home. Would be a good choice for catering ?
Been going here since about 1993, primarily for the noodle soup with shrimp dumplings. I almost always order 2. It was one of two noodle houses that I could trust would always be good, and the other place closed down over 10 years ago. I've ordered other items before, but always go back to the noodles and dumplings. Drooling just writing about it. Definitely a no-frills atmosphere (heck, they had bare compact flourescent bulbs for the longest time, now probably just bare LEDs), but that doesn't matter with the soup I crave.
The food was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten! It was soggy! Fastest service ever but the food tasted why it was so fast! Fried rice wasn’t even fried! I just hope I don’t get sick! The table was sticky! The condiments were sticky, like none of it has ever been cleaned! Can’t imagine what the kitchen is like! Just horrible! Won’t ever be back!!
Very tasty meal on my first visit there. Will be back for sure. Thanks to Carole for introducing me to this place! ?
