A part of me wants to give 5 stars and another part of me wants to give a 1 star review. Been coming here for years - incredible food, would very highly recommend in that regard. Afghani tikka and mutton krahi with garlic naan were our staple - can’t beat it anywhere else in the city. The last few times we’ve been here (literally driving 30+ minutes from the SW, that’s how good the food is) has been sad and incredibly disappointing with the customer service and waiting times the past few times we’re been here. The last time we waited 45 minutes for our food and it still didn’t come, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all in comparison to other times we’ve been. With a heavy heart we had to leave and won’t be back.If you have the time to wait an hour for food and a coke I would recommend. We unfortunately did not have that time to spend and sadly won’t be returning. Take out is probably a better option. Good luck!
Ordered chicken biriyani. $ 10.00 .Got only very few small pieces of chicken with cauliflower pieces. Got ripped off. Felt like buying kushka.Coming out of the pandemic they should do a better job of satisfying customers.
Disgusting food , avoid avoid that place. I start vomiting and stomach had soo much pain. Very dirty foods ... waist of my time and money ... and my health ...
This establishment is underrated immensely. It is damn good. MashAllah!!I have personally tried the Afghani Tikka which melted in our mouths. Furthermore, the chicken biryani was really well made also, the only thing I would change is add more salt to it. However, my wife told me the raita/spicy yoghurt they give with it, when eaten together it solves the salt point. So there's that. I also tried their lunch special wherein I tried the Beef Shish Kebab, which was phenomenal, instead of rice, I got another naan, and then proceeded to make a naan kabab roll out of it with the salad and the raita/yoghurt as a sauce. SO GOOD MASHALLAH. One lunch special is good for two people to say the least, very fulfilling and top notch taste. They serve hand slaughtered halal meat/chicken here, which I confirmed on the phone and in person with the person behind the counter. The kababs are made on a sizzling plate fresh, which adds to the aroma and they come in piping hot. They are sat on a bed of caramelized onions. so so so worth it. Next time, I visit Calgary this is my go to place for at the least lunch. Please do come here and try it out, you will thank me. =]
Amazing food. Fast, great service. Not sure why the reviews aren't better
The worst experience ever. The waiters were really rude and we’re not helping us . He did not want to take us in and kept telling us to go to the other location. I felt insulted coming here today. Another customer felt bad for us and gave up his table and said he would wait in his car. Please hire proper waiters and ensure they know proper customer service. This is the first time I was this disappointed. Unprofessional and rude staff behaviour ruining impression of this restaurant.
Service is subpar, location is meh, but the food is totally worth it! They cook their meat really perfectly, it's my favourite spot for kababs in Calgary.
Man this place has some very unhygienic cooking practices. Today we ordered tandoori fish Tika through skip the dishes found a BANDAGE in the food. Disgusting.
Didn't like it...ordered platter...chicken was raw and the worst part, salad was not cleaned properly....i am sharing photo for reference
Not worth the hype. Yes the BBQ platter was good but the Palak paneer was completely bland. And they should work on the ambiance too!
