Food ? was good I enjoyed it
The only reason this restaurant got two stars was because the food here is good, but, The service at this restaurant is terrible. It’s as if every waiter and waitress is still in training and there is not a single person who knows what they are doing. Countless times have they forgotten half of my meal. Nearly every time I’m here they give my appetizers to me after the rest of the meal, ruining the the quality of my experience. Not only do they forget to give you your food they will then lie and say they added it to a different plate (example: you order two plates of fries and they give u one, saying both are in the one plate) but they also argue back with you as you calmly try and tell them they forgot parts of your order.
Went at 4pm Sunday. Not very busy but still a few people in the restaurant. We stood at the entrance for 10 minutes. Not a single waitress or the gentleman working behind the bar en acknowledged us. My husband signalled a few times to make them aware we were waiting for a table but even then no one bothered. Finally we asked a waitress if a table was available. And she said there was a 10-15 minutes wait. A couple of ladies who were already seated stood up and walked out and commented the service was very slow and waitresses were not trained to have good customer service skills. They left before their food arrived. We decided to stay and eat at Fahad. My husband then signalled the gentleman who looked like a manager and pointed to the many tables that were empty and asked if we could be seated. He sat us at an empty booth in which area there were at least 3 other tables empty and more that had no one seated but the tables were still covered with dirty dishes from previous guests. The waitress that came to take our order had no mannners. No “please” no “ thank you”. Quite rude in fact. And makes us feel like we were wasting her time when we had a few questions about the menu.We used to love coming to Fahad but the quality of the food is just not the same and the service is below par for sure. Not sure we would come back.
Stopped by to get some take out one evening and was shocked by the lineups to get in. Even takeout had a 30-40 min wait. Not a cheap place and definite hits and misses on the menu. This might have been to do with the number of guests and the turnover... Ordered a few different things. The Garlic Naan were disappointing as there was only a hint of garlic and sesame in the butter. The Palak Paneer was as expected, a classic combo that is hard to go wrong with. The Mutton Brain Masala was surprisingly good with the heat from the chilies combining well with the creamy softness of the brain. If you did not know it was brain you would not guess it from the taste. The BBQ platter is an effective way to try multiple items and the fish was the standout. Light flaky with a good BBQ char it paired well with the sauces and other dishes. Question as always to return? This is a place that has a lot of potential quality food indeed. Is not a cheap place by any standards. Would like to go back when it is not so busy and enjoy the ambience and try some different dishes, rather than doing take out again.
The papri chaat was disgusting. We had to throw it away. It was so oily and did not taste fresh. Taste was like salan. Papri chaat at Faisal is so much better thought it was the same here. The rest of the food was ok but this was disappointing as it is usually our kids favorite snack after a meal. First bad experiences here hope they are better next time wont be ordering chaat from here again.
I had my Engagement here a few weeks ago, and wow they did such an amazing job! The food was delicious! The manager was really nice and helped us out. All in all the staff did a great job and the food was way more than expected! Thank you, you guys helped make my day memorable!
food is very tasty! Would definitely recommend getting the butter chicken and kebabs. I would pass on the papri chaat though since there are better options in the NE.
Went to dinner at Fahad’s with some friends on a Saturday night. It was busy and packed with events. We waited for 45 minutes for a table. It was worth it. The place is huge. We ordered our food. It came out quick. The portion size is fairly big. You definitely get your money’s worth and won’t be hungry after a couple of hours. The service is horrible though. It’s very affordable, kid friendly and free parking in the parking lot. Highly recommend this place!
Seriously and honestly. I would rate them worse in the whole alberta. We ordered nihari and murg choley..very very bad. Professional restaurent selling below par taste and below par food. Giving bad name to our amazing pakistani cuisine. Get your game up buddy or close it down.
One of the best place for Tandoori Tikka and Karahi Dishes, quality and quantity is above the bench mark , needs to improve the overall cleanliness.
