Looking for the best Chinese food in town, and at the best prices? Look no further! And they have the friendliest service in the city, as well. I’ve been going to the Dragon Gate since 1985, beginning with their previous location across the street. I’ve moved farther away in Calgary, but I still make the journey here just for the food and service. Five stars for Dragon Gate!!
The best Chinese food in Calgary. The hot & sour soup and ginger chicken is incredible. A lot on the menu can be made gluten friendly which is fantastic being a celiac!
Helle guys never done this b4 but if i am doing this there has to b a reason just ordered rice beef n vegetables and my favorite squid wow i was disappointed called themm 2min after i got it n was disappinted on their respond .I always order from toyshang on bow n 37 way better this place was prety bad n did nothing to help
Food was excellent, very busy lots of orders going out so we had a bit of a wait for our pick up order, lots of gluten free options. Highly recommend.

Was looking forward to try this place after the reviews. Homemade egg roll is made of a batter instead of a crispy wrapper.. did not enjoy. Shanghai rice noodles that were supposed to be spicy were very bland and overcooked. Ginger beef was okay but not enough ginger for my tastes, overly sweet like most places. Maybe I ordered the wrong things. Sigh.
We tought it would be fun to order Chinese food Boxing Day. When we showed up to pick up at the time they told us food was not ready had to wait an extra 20 minutes only to open a bag that had items missing. Really disappointed only advice make sure you check your order before you picked up. Picture says it all
I have eaten in many of Calgary's finest restaurants over the last several decades and remain a fiercly loyal customer of Dragon Gate because they serve some of the freshest and best chinese food in all of Alberta. I've recently discovered however, when you click the menu on their website you're instantly redirected to "Skip the Dishes" and their lousy description of menu items in black and white with no pictures of their incredible food items whatsoever. If this issue isn't fixed on their website and they don't allow dine in service again soon, I will have no choice but to locate a new restaurant to order from as I can't stand Skip the Dishes.
This is our go to for Chinese food. Salt and pepper squid and Shanghai noodles ...oh yeah and ginger beef ....mmmmmmmm
Excellent food! Great service, very quick. The sweet and sour chicken balls were the best I’ve had in Calgary!! 100% will order again!
