Went for a brunch on Saturday, so many good vegetarian options. We got burrito, tostidas, omelette, coffee and mimosas. Tasted alright, nothing phenomenal. Huge portion size, exceptional service, lively vibes. Small place so might have long waiting hours on weekend (make sure to reserve your spot online). Outside seating on a sunny day would be nice. We were 3 people and got seated on a corner table, felt it would be too conjusted so we requested for the table outside. It was bit chilly but they have heaters which did help a little. Before bringing in our order, our server asked if we wanted to sit inside as a larger table was available then which we happily took but sitting outside should be nice on a sunny day.
I felt like this place is a tad overrated. The food was mediocre to me or maybe it’s because of the dish that I ordered. But I had the hillhurst cheese steak benny, the steak meat was dry and tasteless, while the rest of the items weren’t very flavourful either. The potatoes that came with the dish was okay, but nothing special either and I definitely had to eat it with the ketchup because it was barely seasoned at all.My partner ordered the omelette and he liked his dish well enough. The French toast was decent, nothing special though.Overall an enjoyable experience based on the atmosphere and vibe, but that’s probably because we were on the patio and it was nice and sunny out.It was around a 30 minute wait for food that did not feel worth it to me, I probably won’t come back again.
Excellent atmosphere and customer service! And the food is absolutely to die for. I got the crispy chicken sandwich, and the way they used the pickled onions was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend this place if you really enjoy a friendly and cozy experience, and amazing food. If I could give 6 stars I would! Great to see a small business thriving after COVID!
I came in for brunch with my spouse and it was fantastic. We both ordered and got our food rather quickly and it was delicious. Even their coffee was alright, but it's "better then average" diner coffee. Nothing special. But not a complaint either. I have eaten there before and will continue to go there. I love their food, even if it is a bit pricey. Totally worth it.
Super cute establishment, but extremely tiny. I felt a little uncomfortable due to the close contact with random individuals dining there. The food was good, very filling.
My new favorite breakfast place! Everyone is so friendly and authentic. Their decor is quaint family deli. They have plexiglass dividers to ensure the safety of their clients and faithfully ask for a proof of vacation or rapid test at the door. Now for the best part. Almost everything on the menu can be gluten free and dairy free (I am Celiac and dairy intolerant)! That is such a luxury for me.The cherry on top is that their food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the breakfast tostadas and my hubby ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches (I have posted a fee pictures). They have a fun drink section as well. Their prices are acceptable for the quality service and food. I can't rave enough about how fun our experience was. You'll just have to check it out for your self. Enjoy!
Incredible service from this small local cafe. Appreciated that they had dairy alternative options and gluten free options! However their baked oatmeal portion was quite small so I had to order and extra side.
Steak cooked perfectly. Amazing to see a place do medium right. Medium should still be damn red. Sauce texture was beautiful but tasted bland. Broccolini and fries=perfection. Caesars were top notch, great selection of local beer. Take your partner here for a date! Guaranteed they will be surprised and love it. Focusing on local ingredients and letting the simplicity of the dishes speak for themselves is what makes Dairy Lane a community anchor.
We went to Dairy Lane and sat on the patio the other day for lunch with our daughter. The patio faces east, so it’s so lovely in the mornings and for lunch. The owner Jodi was so sweet and welcoming. Our service was excellent. Coffee was refilled regularly, and our meals were outstanding. I had the cali chicken sandwich and my husband had the fried chicken sandwich. The side salad was both of our preference (I ordered the soup of the day, black bean soup, and it was a bit too spicy for me but still tasty). Definitely upgrade to a side tossed salad. Our daughter loved her fries. They were super accommodating for children. There was no kids menu but she was happy with fries. I strongly recommend a visit to this quaint little restaurant in West Hillhurst. So charming and such a great experience.
Get their steak tacos to start & then their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich. The best in the city, don’t even play ? perfect amount of fries, and them pickled onions are stupid good.Service is delightful, happy vibes all around.
