We ordered in person and ate at their tables outside. I got the spicy chicken sandwich which was delicious, I would say it was spicy. I loved the fries they looked freshly cut and were perfectly fried. My husband got a four piece and it came room temperature, it might have been good but he was too disappointed with the temperature to say for sure.
You could cut the salt in half in the chicken and the gravy, and it would probably still be too salty. For the price, I'm expecting something a little out of the ordinary, but this is actually worse than KFC.
We visited the Cluck N Cleaver location in the Beltline. This is a pickup location only and parking can be a bit of a challenge. We each got the Mother Clucker sandwich and headed back to our car to eat as it is February and it's cold in Calgary. When we opened the container we were a little disappointed on the size of the chicken sandwich based on the price, but when it comes to flavour, you can not go wrong. The heat with just a touch of sweet and the crunch of the slaw was top notch. We opted for just plain mayo versus their blue cheese mayo so I can not comment on how that flavour combo would be, but if you're looking for flavour the Cluck N Cleaver can not be beat. Since we only had the sandwich, I can not comment on how their sides taste...maybe next time.
Excellent food and great value! Don’t settle for some chain fried chicken- cluck and cleaver is far superior quality at still affordable prices. The chicken pieces are big and meaty and stay crispy even the second day. The salads are fresh and the gravy is amazing! Always a nice treat to visit cluck and cleaver!
Great portion size and great chicken! Their hot sauce is awesome! It’s not like a red hot but has spice and smoke. Very good. Will order again!
I've eaten a lot of fried chicken... A lot!! but this ... Is an experience. the chicken is fall off the bone, the poutine, while a tad salty was the perfect balance of cheese gravy and stupidly amazing French fries. I ordered mine thru door dash and while it took a while to get to my place it was still hot and juicy. I will order again for sure, keep up the great work

Very very good chicken. My husband preferred the fried chicken. I preferred the rotisserie. Both were great. The biscuits were good. Gravy was very rich, good fries. The next day I made a chicken noodle soup from some of the leftover rotisserie chicken and it was the best chicken noodle soup I have ever had in my entire life. It was just so flavourful. I would love to just buy their rotisserie chicken to make chicken noodle soup.
Truly the best chicken in Calgary. Everything on the menu is brilliant. A must try food destination in Calgary.
