The lovely lady serving us was delightful and super friendly. The cinnamon buns were delicious we ordered the Cookie Monster and the Tropical Berry. Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to try more!

A lot of the bad reviews on here are based on their long wait time during their grand opening. It’s kind of expected for a grand opening to be the busiest day, hence the word “grand”. Another reason for the bad reviews is because of the sweetness of the cinnamon rolls. I completely agree that their rolls are on the sweeter side and it’s definitely not for everyone. However, I really enjoy their cinnamon rolls because of the variety in toppings and frostings. For $6-8 you get a pretty decent size roll and it can definitely feed up to 2 people. The fact that their rolls are also vegan makes me enjoy this place even more!

Excessive sweet bun which ruins the overall taste. The brownie is good however the banana bread is again too sweet. My advice to the team would be to make the sweet moderate and add organic cane sugar or any healthier option.

Taste: ?????This is a 100% vegan cafe where each and every item is directly off a plant. Lucky us, it even has vegan s’mores that we can finally have. They have their toppings that they serve throughout Canada and US, along with Calgary (or Alberta) specific ones as well. You can also combine the cinnamon roll with any topping of your choice as well. Our favourite one was “The Banff”, and we are so glad it is only in the Calgary location. So go check it out and enjoy this amazing new cafe located on 17th Ave SW.___________________________________________________Follow @zeetastec on Instagram for your local Calgary eats ??

I was very excited to try Cinnaholic because of the hype and, well, I love cinnamon buns! The storefront was very clean and relatively no-fuss, just a small display case of all of their flavours. I opted for a traditional bun with no icing to get a good sense of the flavour and texture. For the positives:-it was a very pillowy soft bun and nice and warm-sweetness level was just right, with a good balance of sugar and cinnamon and a bit of crunch from the carmelization on the bottomWhat I didn't like about this bun:-It was very doughy, and felt underdone-Not nearly enough cinnamon/sugar for the amount of dough.-Very small and underwhelming for the price-It didn't have any "gooeyness" to the fillingAll in all, this just felt like eating a fluffy white bun with a bit of cinnamon. Perhaps if you are planning to get it loaded with all the toppings you wouldn't notice the shortcomings of the bun as much, but if you are just going for a traditional cinnamon bun, there are way better options out there. While it was not the worst cinnamon bun I've had, I felt it was definitely overhyped and I wouldn't go back or recommend it to others.

Very fresh tasting rolls with so many variety of topping choices. Wouldn’t be able to guess that it’s vegan.I do agree that the frosting is kind of powdery/overly sweet, so I would actually opt on less topping or even just the plain roll itself. Staff were nice but not very enthusiastic. Interior is clean and bright but very narrow/limited space.

Love cinnamon buns and with the toppings it's a special treat. Wonderful gift for Valentine's Day!

Tasty but raw in the middle so we ate the outside and threw most of it away. The frosting and toppings were good but at $15 for two buns we’d hope the cinnamon bun itself would be cooked properly.

If you have a sweet tooth, I definitely recommend! The icing they use has more of a whipped cream type of texture to it, very light and sweet, and there is a lot of it (like how Crave does their ratio of icing to cupcake)! I found the Apple Pie one to be very sweet, but not as cinnamon-y as I'd expect a cinnamon bun to be. My partner tried a scoop of cookie dough, and the Old Skool bun. He found the bun to also be very sweet, but good. He did not finish all of the icing, and he has a far bigger sweet tooth than I do - lol! Personally, I don't have a big sweet tooth at all, so I wasn't able to finish mine, but it was a nice treat - and I enjoy trying new places. I think I prefer the Cinnzeo icing, but Cinnaholic isn't necessarily where you go, if you're wanting a plain Jane cinnamon bun - though they have those too, as mentioned earlier! For the price, I feel the portion size and toppings offered, is fair - and hey, I'm getting two servings out of mine, ha! Friendly staff, very clean space, and lots of options to cure your sweet tooth!

Staff was super friend and service was speedy. The cinnamon bun itself was just not good. Grabbed the classic and there was SO MUCH icing that it really overpowered any taste of the cinnamon bun. Also the weird aftertaste lingers till you eat something else. Glad I tried it but tbh I'd never go back for one
