Went for taco Tuesday as we hadn't been here in a while.Service and food were fantastic.Shared a couple of tacos, chicken tinga and a vegetarian option, pumpkin blossom. (Forget the actual name). I really enjoyed that one. Also shared the barbacoa Enchiladas.
2 out of 5 meals where pretty meh. one was ordered without mushrooms and came with tons of mushrooms and this isn't the first time. service was just ok. don't think I'd be back. only plus is there are lots of vegetarian options
food was actually really good.. i ordered chicken fajitas and my partner ordered fish tacos.. worth the price..
We were greated well and service was great. We sat outside. We had 2 starters and shared 2 main meals between us. Really ejoyed it.
The beef tacos are by far the best. The chicken taco is also good, the pork one I didn't like that much. The pork was kind of dry. The sauces are great, service was quick and effective, ambiance was good. I'll definitely be back.
This is the second year we have spent my birthday here and it will be the last for all of us. The first year was bad but we chalked it up to covid rules. This year was more of the same, with our group not allowed to have one table, maximum two hours and no moving seats or bringing our tables together. The owner is beyond rude, and should stay far from the paying guests. We spent over $2000 on our large group and not one of us had a pleasant experience. The food was good, the service was good from the odd waitress but the owner seemed like she was doing us a favour by taking out many orders even though it was ONE bill. At the end of the evening, my husband tipped 20% only to realize the next day that auto grat was already added to the bill. Good job folks! Instead of being honest, the staff received a 40% tip. Never will we go here again and we all felt like that was a waste of money. Beware, the food is average and don’t expect anything more.
I’ve spent a LOT of time in Mexico and this is the most authentic Mexican restaurant I’ve found so far in Calgary. Chunky, freshly made guacamole. Corn tortillas and chips. Street tacos the way they should be - meat piled up in a couple layers of tortilla. And they aren’t kidding with “fishbowl Fridays” - my 3oz margarita was served literally in a fishbowl.
I love this place. I lived in Mexico for a period of time and this makes me feel like I am there again. Authentic delicious food, strong drinks, friendly service, and down-to-earth vibe. I had the vegan enchiladas and it was so nice to have a vegan dish at a non-vegan restaurant where they put some thought and originality into it. To top it off they brought me a tequila shot for my birthday. Will definitely be back!
I found the service slow and the food was ok not great. I’d recommend the jalapeño poppers from what I had and the Mexican fries.
Food was not too great, especially considering the price point. The margerita was nice. Service was quick and friendly staff. There are definitely other mexican places around I would go to instead.
