What a gorgeous and decent StakeHouse! Chairman’s StakeHouse is well known Restaurant in City of Calgary. We had a Unforgettable Birthday Dinner over there with the spectacular Lake View! Had the Seafood Sampler as Appetizer to start with! All the seafood were prepared fresh and tasty! The main courses were Free Run Alberta Chicken Supreme, 14 oz Canada Prime Ribeye, and Kids 6 oz Stake. The Ribeye was huge enough for two of us! It was tender, juicy, and delicious! Also, the Chicken Supreme was so good too. Although the sauce was a little bit salty, when it mixed with the Chicken, it was well balanced! Thank you for the complimentary Tiramisu dessert. It was so sweet from both your heart and the dessert itself! The service was friendly and prompt! Highly recommended!
The food and atmosphere was great here at Chairman’s. Would be nice if the service was better though. I had booked a reservation and noted it was for an anniversary event - was expecting there would be some kind of candles or “Happy anniversary” on our desert plate as most places have done that in our previous anniversary experience- was disappointed that didn’t happen, won’t come here for special occasion. The food was delicious - especially the cheese toast and steak. My boyfriend and I were surprised at the size of the steak to share - we were expecting a little bit more bigger for 2, otherwise we would’ve ordered separately instead. The best thing about Chairman’s is the view of the lake. Might try again, but the overall experience was good at best.
I'm surprised I haven't reviewed Chairman's yet, we have been here about six times since it opened celebrating special events. If I could afford it I would be here way more often! It's a nice treat and every time we have been here everything has been perfect. Our server remembers us from previous visits as we have had her every time except for once, it's always nice to catch up with her.The food really is incredible, even if you aren't into beef they have other outstanding dishes to satisfy everyone. Of course the star of the show is the beef, the Rib Eye steak is so delicious! I love it with some butter on top. The chicken supreme gets great reviews from my spouse, and we always start with the French fries which have this crazy good hickory seasoning. Even though I've never been able to finish it I love the double stuffed potato, it is so delicious and so huge! Leftovers make for a lunch treat the next day. I have a permanent hand injury and am unable to cut and even though you barely need a knife the kitchen is happy to prepare it sliced which helps a lot.The dessert menu beckons even though you aren't hungry and definitely doesn't disappoint, with the creme brulee being my spouse's favourite and ice cream being mine. Especially the pistachio and chocolate peanut butter flavours.And the first time you use the toilet you might not make it back for 20 minutes! ? A very fancy bidet. It's great having this quality of a restaurant in the deep south east.
The staff are amazing from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. The food is absolutely delicious. Best place for any kind of steak you would like to have. I had such a wonderful experience there. Thank you to everyone for making my birthday dinner one to remember. Will definitely be coming back to the Chairman's steakhouse again.

Great restaurant tucked away in a neighbourhood with a view. Decor and ambience were very nice and the service was excellent.Everything we had was good, but the appetizers were the highlights of the night. Definitely get the cheese bread, steak tartare, scallops, and Waldorf salad.We shared the 36oz rib eye and sea bass for mains and both were good but nothing crazy. Also, don't skip the brussel sprouts that they serve as a side for the steaks. ??
Went in with high expectations and the Chairman's Steakhouse delivered in spades. Situated right on one of the Lakes in Mahogany, this is a high end experience, from decor, food and especially the service.The dining room ambience is amazing, with high ceilings, stone details, great lighting and comfortable seating. The reception area has a view of the kitchen and there is also a lounge and private room available. There is also outdoor seating as well.Once seated, the menu is unique in the sense that it's backlit, making it much more legible. The table is expertly set and it really sets one up for an enjoyable dining experience.We started with a Tuna tartare and seared scallops with bacon infused foam. Both of these appetizers were amazing, and actually quite filling. Next was the main course. They bring out a board with the steak cuts and the server explains each and every option. My wife chose the Ribeye and I chose the Bison Ribeye and added a blue Cheese crust. We added some sides then eagerly waited for them. By then dusk started setting in and the whole dining rooms' lighting scheme changed; lights were dimmed and the ambience changed and really set the mood.The steaks arrived with much fanfare, smelling and looking amazing. Both were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sides were also done very well, the brocolini was not over done, the Au Gratin was very satisfying, and the Brussel Sprouts were perfect in texture and taste. To cap off the evening, we had tea and the Sticky Toffee Pudding.What a great dining experience, the food was excellent but the star was the service. Our server Sami was the star, and made our experience much more memorable. The spend here is up there, but the food, atmosphere and especially the service was well worth it. This is a great place for a special occasion.
The service was awful. We sat for more than 1.5 hours for our meal and kept being told our order was coming up. Our server Brian was obviously more interested in the bigger tables because it was 20 minutes before he came to our table, one of the other servers took our drink order. The Chairman’s was a very cool presentation and the food was very good. This was like a Seinfeld episode where “they can take a reservation but they can’t manage the reservation”.
Was given a gift certificate at Xmas for this restaurant. My husband and I are kind of senior foodies. We like to try new places and my husband likes his beef! We had heard a few good things and my daughter decided we all should try to celebrate her husband's birthday. It is located on the lower level of one of the Westman Village condo's and faces the lake with large tall windows. We were in the evening and it was dimly light for a an almost romantic atmosphere. The decor is what I would call sophisticated Vegas. Black and white marble and gold sphere lighting. Waiters wear white jackets with black trim. Chairs have around curved backs and upholstered in a light grey velveteen. Very comfortable even for my short legs. We arrived at 6PM and it become fully occupied over the hour. We started off with cocktails and I ordered the Old Fashion - smoked. It was most delicious. My daughter ordered a lemon vodka drink that tasted like lemon pie! Others ordered beer and were pleased with choices. I ordered the min 3 Atlantic half shell oysters and ate all 3 with the raspberry vinaigrette sauce. My main was the Ahi Tuna Tartare and the Chairman fries. I was very pleased with the tuna and the top half of the fries were great with hickory spice but they got smaller and harder was you ate them. We were shown a wooden cutting board with several cuts of beef and 1 bison. The men chose the striploin and ordered medium rare and it was served cooked to perfection. The chose the potato rosti which we all tasted and it was excellent. My husband ordered the broccolini and said it was OK. All in all we were pretty satisfied with the meal. No room for dessert! Looking forward to possibly returning sometime and trying the dessert menu.
