Fab food and an amazing hostess. She was fabulous.
Stopped in and had a glass of wine at the bar, ordered some take out to take back to hotel. Absolutely loved the vibe wish I had my husband with me to have a nice dinner. A couple chefs tables and from the bar you can watch as well. Loved the food, great service.

Hi: We found this restaurant after landing in Calgary and we were walking around to find a great meal and we found it!!! What was even better was the attentive service from Lola and others. I had the Prosciutto wrapped sushi roll with crab in the center and the special, Bouillabaisse. They said it had halibut and I expected “flakes” - it was a huge piece with all the other goodies in that soup! The bread was amazing as I sopped up all the nice! Lola and her co-worker took a genuine interest in us and encouraged us to rent a car and advised us where to go on our work day off! Which, we did plus some, so Lola, if you see this, we went to Canmore, Lake Louise and Banff! All at your prompting. We didn’t have dessert at the restaurant but their desserts looked great (as did every pasta that passed my way).
Food was delicious, service left a lot to be desired. First off they sat me and my wife between 2 6-tops, very hard to have any conversation when 2 large groups of people are yelling across their tables. The wait time to receive our order was absolutely ridiculous, over an hour and a half with no updates and a waitress who disappeared for almost the entire time. We had to ask a different waitress for an update, that waitress ended up bringing us our food and apologized to us. We watched table after table be seated and receive their food before us. After receiving our food our waitress apologized with no explanation and once again disappeared, no refill on drinks and no regard for us as guests. Terrible experience would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, ever.
Pretty good lunch. Bread was yummy, caprese salad was really great. Parpadele with wild boar ragu was also yummy. Olives were like from a jar and tiramisu was coated in cocoa powder, nearly choked on the first bite.
We have wanted to try Centini forever! Finally we pulled the trigger for our anniversary! We were blown away with every aspect of our experience! Our server, Shama, was friendly, knowledgeable and very fun! She recommended several wine choices only after we had chosen our appetizer and main courses. Everything paired very well together! The food was amazing. We started with the pan seared calamari puttanesca with white wines! Then we had entrees: seafood risotto and beef short rib ravioli! Again, we tried different wines! For dessert, we couldn’t decide so Shama recommended the share platter of three. Now, unlike many restaurants, when doing a shared platter, the sizes are miniature compared the regular dessert. Not at Centini. We received three full size desserts. They were delicious. They included lemon tart, carrot cake and crème brûlée! At the end of the meal, we asked Shama if she would take our photo and she suggested a spot other than our table! There is beautiful art everywhere and we loved the photos she took. Centini is 5 star all the way. If you have not experienced it yet. GO!
This restaurant now holds a place near and dear to my heart. Not only did we get to celebrate my father’s birthday, we also got to celebrate one of my child’s last medical appointments in Calgary!When we asked which Italian place to go, this was the one that was the most recommended. The service was phenomenal. The food was divine.An incident took place that was handled with the utmost respect, dignity, graciousness and humanity. This isn’t just a great restaurant - the owners and staff are the real deal. I feel nothing but deep gratitude.Rest assured, we will be back when we visit Calgary. We will tell all of our friends and family to visit this amazing establishment. Thank you for the hugs. Thank you for the shared tears. Thank you for being YOU.
We had a fantastic anniversary date night at Centini’s. Alfonso made some fantastic recommendations and was so friendly and kind. We loved our veal scallopini and the full rack of lamb. Had a great experience and can’t wait to return again. :)
