Excellent scotch list. Been going there since the 80's. Location & neighborhood greatly changed. Food good, specials priced well. Decor tired, should have upgraded washrooms during covid downtime. Interesting mix of clients. Couples, divorced buddies on night-out, tables of single younger gals as well birthday celebration, neighborhood customers from surrounding buildings. Wait staff outstanding ?
I always enjoy coming here. Oddly, I have never had a steak or burger here! I very much enjoy the tuna wasabi Ceasar salad. I think this is the only salad that I ever come back to at any establishment!The drop in star is only because of pricing. I do feel that it is a bit over priced.I must try the burger though! Evidently, happy hour is the time to go!
Best sirloin bacon cheeseburger ever! Thick juicy, crisp onions, lettuce tomato. Service was fast friendy great service. Even the checkin was fast.
This is by far the best restaurant in Calgary, if not Canada! I have travelled the world and this is one of the best meals and experiences I have had in my life. The staff and team is exceptional and dedicated to their craft. If I could give Buchanans 10 Stars I would... Great people, great food, great atmosphere and location.
Coziest dining experience of my life. Little pricy but the fish dish was amazing. Recommend for beers and scotch!

The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. The people are friendly and enjoy having their customers in. They do everything they can to make sure you’re happy with food and drink and service.
Overcooked seafood and a serious downside in food quality. What was my preferred lunch place will not be a place where I would invite my colleagues.
