Cod sandwich was bland, came in a small portion and instantly made mee regret ordering it. Wish I just would've got a filet o fish at McDonald's. Cheese charcuterie board was lackluster. Not alot of cheese or bread. Fries were too well done. Drinks were good.
Normally love this place but we were disappointed with the food this time. Everything was cold. We were too hungry to wait for it to be remade.
Service was very good but that was it.Kitchen needs training. Pretty much all of our dishes except 1 salad and 1 chicken dish was over salted. How they’re not checking this before sending dishes out I don’t know. They have “bar” in their name but the bartender had to “look up” on how to make a LIIT. ??? Sorry but cannot recommend this place. Too many other betterchoices.

The food and services are really good. One of the best that we find in Calgary. Will definitely come again and recommend friends from Toronto.
Iâve been here 4 times before and liked it. Unfortunately last night just had the worst experience possible at a restaurant. We didnât get our food for an hour and a half. Wine took 45 minutes to come and we had to go ask the bar for wine glasses. Appetizers finally came and we didnât have plates or cutlery. Lobster risotto was undercooked (lobster over cooked), medium rare steak was very rare and chewy, short rib had absolutely no flavour at all. We cancelled the rest of the food once we had been there for 3 hours and it hadnât all come out yet. The salmon was really good though! And the staff cut the bill down for us to compensate for the service/food.
Slow service even though restaurant was not even 1/2 full. Food was mediocre at best. Have been there many times before but this was the last time.
We went for a stampede lunch for work. We waited 50 minutes between appetizers and the main course, 2hrs total. When the main courses arrived we were famished and the food was cold not luke warm! Not sure why if there was a kitchen malfunction or server but that will be the last time I eat there.
4th time here and have loved it but today. Today we realized that even if we reserve weeks in advance, we have always sat in the lounge as today was the first time we requested to be seated in the other area. Denied, the other times, the restaurant area was empty. We always order two appetizers and the Tomahawk. Our Tomahawk came before our appetizers. Weird eating salad when you are trying to enjoy the main course. Our "lounge" had no one but us though we only saw our waitress 4 times in 1.5hr we were there. Empty glasses and after waiting 15 minutes after our plates were taken we took the cheque instead of getting dessert. Ended up picking up dessert at a safeway on the way home.
The Brussels Sprouts brought me back… literally! We visited Calgary first time in 2015 and came to Briggs Kitchen + Bar a few times, because these Brussels Sprouts are literally the best in the world.So, 7 years later I am here for a week and still remembered those delicious sprouts, so we had to come back. Happy to report, they are still the best! Burger was tender and delicious as well! We’ll be back again!!!
