Wow... Simply wow... Such a tasty breakfast and the place... That's what I'm talking about when I say atmosphere. Very unique American style with so much to offer as an experience. Love the pictures on the wall and the furniture.. Very 60s American style diner. Bu tfood is to die for... Had both bowl options and honestly 11/10 for both. Staff was friendly.. But this diner is busy guys... Make sure you're on the waitlist if you want to make it for brekky. Would come back a few more times for sure!
I was so excited to come here since last time the wait time was almost 30 minutes so I thought it must be good. So overpriced breakfast, wish I had kept my $40 today. Specially for kids, we ordered the pancake plate and it's just little cakes no pancakes and it doesn't include the drink like most breakfast places so $5 for a hot chocolate for the kid. My omelet had no salt or flavour, I had to abuse the salsa they gave me. Giving 3 starts just because the ambiance but definitely not going back. And hopefully they'll fix the doors in the ladies, haven't you seen how the two doors bump into each other? With those prices, definitely should be fixable.
Definitely close to a 4.6 rating, which for me borders elite quality. I flew in to Calgary and went there the next morning with some friends. Breakfast places are always busy, so my review considers important factors:Food: tasted very good. Got a wagyu benny with side tomatoes. Well balanced ratio of meat to hollandaise to home fries underneath. Strong flavour profile. I added some pepper. Other people I was with all cleaned the dishes. Coffee was good. Regular with cream and milk cups, but they leave the carafe of coffee with you.I would try a few other dishes next time. Menu will not disappoint. Has maybe, 40-60 options.Service- efficient and polite. The staff knew how to operate. Separate bills, machines, orders all done well. I could see it slammed on weekend mornings-Ambiance- cool vibe like a diner.Well run business. Owner(s) seem to take pride and it shows up in the operation.
I ordered the California eggs Benny through skip the dishes, and man was it delicious. I know that it was delivery so I wasn’t expecting it to be this good, and now I have to definitely go in and sit down for a proper brunch. The potatoes were delicious and the eggs were cooked just right. They have such a variety of selections it’s hard to pick what Benny you want to try. Keep up the great work and you’ll be seeing me again soon.
Arrived Saturday at 11am, peak hour. Not an empty table to be seen, luckily there was two empty chairs at the bar. Prompt service, food arrived hot and delicious! Our server said it was her second day on the job, (sorry I didn’t get a name) but she was great! Checked in to see how the food was, if we needed anything else and had great recommendations. She was awesome! Gluten free pierogis are seriously a must try ?
I recommend everything about Bennys! Once you’re inside you’re immersed in a 50’s style environment and welcomed by the cheerful and agreeable staff! The decor is amazing, well selected and well displayed. The food is succulent (they have the best hollandaise sauce ever!) and portions are more than enough. Prices are really reasonable and the place is spotless. This place is a gem!
over priced and underwhelming... the owner clearly has a God complex based on how staff is treated and thinks this place is God's gift to breakfast. under staffed on a regular basis and it's not hard to see the staff they do have are over worked. Burgers are dry, bland and reheated in the microwave. I can think of better places that aren't mass producing over priced mediocre food that is much more worthy of my time and money.
The service was great. Lots of smiles and quick service. Was nice the server helped my indecisiveness with recommendations. First time here, so I tried the Salmon Bennies and it was so delicious! Best hollandaise I've had in a restaurant, and everything in the dish really compliments each other. Makes me think if you love bennys, and haven't been to Benny's you're really missing out!
Even they though they are known for Eggs Benedict and they rock it at that. I ordered a clubhouse and it was the best one I’ve had in a long long time, the atmosphere is nice and retro. The staff were fantastic. I highly recommend!
The best breakfast I've had in years. My plate came piled high, and the sausage was particularly delicious. Mercedes was incredible. What a breath of fresh air to be treated as a valued customer again. Will definitely be back.
