Good menu, good food, good prices. You also get good portion sizes for your money as well. The ingredients are fresh, and are not put together until you order. I'll definitely order from here again.
Great spot for take out. The place was very busy and our order took longer than was quoted on the website. That being said the food was excellent and we will be returning
Chow mein was not what expected. The noodles were cut into small pieces and no flavor to it. We moved and we used to eat there at 3 times a month. I don't know if it's new owners but definitely not what we expected. I don't think we will try again.
This place is a joke. Ordered here and when the food came we found a big long black hair in our food. The rice had a piece of wire in it. I called to let them know and the lady said to me next time you order I will give you a spring roll for free. There will never be a next time. Totally disgusting. Watch out for objects in your food people.
We love the food from Bamboo House. The problem the last 4 orders was the delivery. I order on line it always tells you 60-75 minutes. They used to deliver within an hour in the past. We live 10 minutes away. The last 4 orders, 3 of which I had to phone to check on took about about 90 minutes. My last order on line said 75 minutes, I called after 75 minutes and was told not ready will be another 30 minutes. I had to cancel the order as it was already after 9p.m. I’m so sorry that we have to find a new restaurant.
Nice little gem for quick takeouts. Averages 15 mins from order to pickup, though lots of delivery services hang around here too. Standard Chinese menu, food is tasty . Liquor store next door to gulp it all down! Awesome.
Best Asian restaurant In Calgary so far.One thing I was very impressed with was good customer service compared to most business in the area.Very friendly fresh crunchy ginger beef,I recommend ordering that.Coming from Vancouver I eat a lot of Asian food. This little place Puts love in their food.You can taste it.
I have ordered from Bamboo House for many, many years and have always been pleased with my food. Since the new owners have taken over, things have gone downhill considerabley. I have given them a couple of tries but after last nights order I will never order from them again. They are extremely sub par now. Greasy dumplings with way too much dough, lumps of cornstarch in my Cashew Gai Ding, very salty broccoli and my order that was supposed to take 20 mintues ended up taking 40 minutes. Never again!
A bit out of the way for us, but always we'll worth the trip. Lots of options and customisations, so the family doesn't have to agree on deep fried wonton style. So far everything has been ready on time, and the orders have been accurate. Tastes great, no weird hard or chewie bits we used to get from the neighbourhood place.Decided to write a review after being called the day after ordering as they were trying to find who left a poor review so they could make it right, and I respect that.
This is a great little neighbourhood gem! Tiny little restaurant in a strip mall, with pick up/take out/delivery only, but don't judge a book by its cover... I was so impressed by how consistently good all the dishes were..some of the best Chinese I've had in Calgary!I ordered for pickup, and it was ready in 15 minutes. It was all super fresh, hot and tasty, with generous portions. The lemon chicken, salt and pepper squid and ginger beef were all so crispy and crunchy. Nice tender veggies and beef in the beef and broccoli, and both the chow mein and chicken fried rice were very flavourful.Definitely recommend!
