My sister and my two children and I went to Asian buffet last night for the first time in 4 years or five. The expectation was have a great meal as we have enjoyed many times previously. That is not what we got this time. The food seemed to have been sitting out for hours before we even got there as that's what it tasted like. The whole time we were there I didn't see any fresh food get brought out. We ordered our pop and never got any refills. And it's not like it was so busy in there that a server couldn't come and check on us. A server did come check on us however was not very attentive. The plates were cleared regularly so that was nice. In the end we didn't get more than a plate of food each because the food was quite old tasting. Very disappointed considering we spent $120. Very sad as I remember years ago this place was the place to be. We won't be returning. Very disappointed.
When the freezer with several nice flavours of ice cream is the highlight of the meal, something is definitely wrong. NONE of the entrees was hot, and most tended to be distinctly on the greasy side. The iced shrimp should have been a treat, but they were ... well ... limp. The orange ice cream was very, very good, and paired well with the strawberry. But I'm in no rush at all to have a 3rd visit.
Asian buffet is excellent all the way around. Hostesses and cashiers are always super sweet and friendly. Almost never have to ask for a water refill. Tables are always cleaned quickly. The quality of food is very good the Mongolian grill is a must try.. the Mongolian grill part is not the traditional Stone it's really just a griddle, but the options are the same and the food is close. They're always adding or changing up the menu so you don't get the same options if you go frequently. It's nice that they change it up a bit. There is a limited selection of sashimi, some sushi, BBQ, Mongolian grill, and traditional dishes. The chicken wings are very very good.We always leave a very healthy tip here because the service and food is so good.Asian Buffet is a must try if you are in Calgary.
Great tasting and lots of options including dim sum, fruit and dessert cakes for $24 on Sunday. Probably best not to look too far the quality and I definitely wouldn't eat here if I had health issues.
Haven't been back since the pandemic started. It was nice to see that it's still open. The food was not bad. There is plenty to choose from, but the cold crab claws and scallops were the stars here. Cleanliness could be better, and the peace at which the food is replaced could be better as well. Overall still a fun family experience.
Truly gone downhillOur post covid visit was truly a disappointment! At a Wed lunch time 12:15PM, the restaurant food was all quite cold including the Wanton soup., buffet slots were empty, and service was extremely poor. We were "pushed" out of the buffet line by staff, and hit by their carts....both without apology. We walked out, and will not return.

Went here on a Saturday at the start of the 4:30 buffet, service was friendly and consistent. Pretty much everything we put on our plates tasted great (with the exception of the Vancouver crab legs. Think it was over cooked, so not a whole lot of flavour left in it, also didn’t see any cracking utensils for getting them open…). Awesome variety of oriental foods available from Chinese, Mongolian and Japanese. Think the only thing we didn’t really like here was the bubble tea. Regardless we will definitely return here!
The food was delicious, the ambience was beautiful, the staff were pleasant and polite. We came here this family weekend (Feb 2022) and will definitely be visiting again. The fortune cookies at the end was a lovely end to the evening. The whole family enjoyed dinner here. Will only suggest an upgrade to cutlery. Every other thing was awesome.
First and last time. Read all the online reviews and felt confident that we would have a nice meal. Maybe not amazing but good. Food arrived and some was cold some was warm. Possible the delivery did not have an insulated bag. Benefit of the doubt lasted a few minutes in. The salt and pepper squid looked like a dried up chicken bone. The vegetables appeared to come from frozen vegetable mix. Flavours were off or not there. The soup broth was nice but the wontons were so tightly wrapped they were like gum balls. Beef and broccoli was the best to taste however the beef came out like a roll and was not cut up but rather a large clump. Hopefully this is not a normally experience and there is issues with food supply or something.
