Great hidden gem located in the same strip mall as Cakeworks. Authentic Filipino food at very reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and the portions we're big enough to take the wife leftovers!

Our first experience was very memorable. I finally had a taste of BBQ Liempo. Missed this and craving was satisfied. Service was very good and the owner/chef came to our table to check on us. Really good. Consider this a hidden gem. Do come and try out this new Filipino restaurant. By the way, very classy dishes.???
One of the best Filipino restaurant and bakeshop here in YYC. We will be back! Thank you for the good eats!
Happy Filipino Restaurant Month! This April is the first year this event is taking place in YYC - so glad I decided to check it out here at Amihan! I got the event special Prix-fixe (not on their regular menu) and starter platter for the fried goods. Everything tasted great and the restaurant is very quiet so I'd love if you go visit and try some of their delicious food! There's not many Filipino restaurants in Calgary and I can definitely recommend this one. They also have desserts and baked goods available for purchase!Photos:- Embotido Toast (meatloaf on bread)- Inasal at Bringhe (sticky rice with chicken and caulifower)- Sans rival Sorbetes (ice cream with wafer)- Starter Platter (spring rolls, fish tofu, chicken skin, quail egg, siumai)Posted on IG: @thatfoodiehoe
Big portion and tastes good! They also gave us a free sample while waiting for our order.
We enjoyed the prix fixe menu for Filipino Restaurant Month (3 courses for 25$; good value, the main course with sticky rice in banana leaf, inasal chicken and cauliflower side wins), and great value for the group meal and starter platter (generous portions). They also have a bakeshop, their ube macapuno cake and pandesal were yum. It was our first time dining here on Saturday and we liked it so much so that we came back with another group the following day, good food and service?
Great authentic Filipino food! Very nostalgic. Starter platter is like eating street food in the streets of the Philippines.
Very good grilled items — if you’re missing Filipino inihaw, this is the place to go. Place is clean, very pleasant atmosphere. Staff very professional and very unobtrusive. You can barely hear them talking to each other in the kitchen. Highly recommended!
The food is really delicious. It feels like you are eating in your own hometown in the Philippines. The staff greeted you with a smile when you come in and it makes the environment good and friendly.Highly recommend coming here
