Here is my honest thoughts, honest feedback, management can take it to heart and improve... or call me a "scammer" and say they "never saw my ugly face" just as they have responded to other reviews. What demonstrates their level of care/concern for their client most clearly??? Their very own replies, check it out for yourself...Initially based on food quality/taste alone I would have rated 3 of 5 stars.King sub, plus onion rings and a meager $2 tip totaled $27.10... no beverage. I ate everything (taste and quality was good) but found myself still hungry. I just spent $27 for a take out sandwich and onion rings and I'm hungry still... take away 1 star for poor value, now we are at 2 of 5 stars.After seeing the responses to the reviews and the overwhelming lack of care and concern demonstrated by the owners directly in their own replies, we are now down to 1 of 5 stars.You clearly do not value the patronage, I'm feeling that your patrons do not value your presence in the community either.Best of luck arguing and insulting your way to success, you have trashed a formerly great name/place.Advise... When you find yourself in a hole, quit digging! I sadly await your closing :(
My partner has been coming here for about 20 years now and the food is always delicious with great portion sizes. The customer service is great and they really seem to care about customer satisfaction whenever we go.We took our food to go and even after driving half an hour home, the deep fried food was still crispy including the fries. They packed the food with the meat and bread separately so that it wasn’t soggy at all which was very appreciated.This is a restaurant that we will continue to come back to again and again.
The sandwich artist was very accommodating to our family with young kids and both kids enjoyed their meal. Took ten minutes to get food but that just means they make to order. Poutine not too salty like some places. Lots of curds. The Jester was delicious, just the right amount for a mid day meal and great flavour and textures. Partner got The big king and was not disappointed. Will definitely come back.
This place that is absolutely so fantastic the food is prepared precisely. It is packed full of gravy curds and anything else you can imagine the fries are well done not over soggy cooked fresh right on the spot and the pickles that we had the deep fried pickles were absolutely fantastic with a brilliant crunch you could really feel the taste popping in your mouth I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody who wants to try great cooked food. The store manager or person who had served us was absolutely fantastic very kind and even gave my daughter an extra dessert for free really nice guy great place
This used to be my go to place for smoked meat poutine because of the thick home style fries, authentic dark gravy, huge pieces of smoked meat and real cheese curds.I drove in from out of town for this and I can’t believe I wasted my time & money. The watery gravy went from a slow cooker pot into a Tupperware dish that was microwaved onto fries that were less than appealing. I’m not sure if the cheese curds were real and the smoked beef went from 1 inch cubes to gerbil sized pieces of meat. This will be my last time that I come here.
One of the best local eats I’ve stopped at, will definitely be back. Friendly owner, amazing food made with quality ingredients and care. Definitely shows why they have been here for 26+ years !So far I’ve had the Big King sub n the Smoked meat poutine and they both are amazing
Edit: after I posted this review, the owner responded by calling me a racist. This guy is unhinged, and out of touch with reality.After three visits I stopped coming here. Yes, some of the food is very good, but the service is always rude and surly, like you're inconveniencing them or something. After the third visit I decided that no matter how good the food was, I won't subject myself to that sort of treatment anymore.Also, check the replies from the owner on most negative reviews here. See a pattern? The guy is aggressive and rude and won't take responsibility, always blaming it on the customer.Visit at your own risk.
Not a good experience. The hotdog was sad to look at and the poutines gravy was more like salt water than gravy. The “double meat” added on to it looked like dog food and was not a double portion. Sadly I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place and hope it comes back to it’s former glory. But for now, I’d skip it. Bright side, the cook was a very nice guy.

Was looking forward to the poutine so much. It was watery, the cheese was a bit light, the gravy was so watery and flavourless. The fries on the other hand weren't bad. But I don't think I'd ever order a poutine from here again.As for the Sub, I got The Knight Sub. I enjoyed the lightly crispy bread, the seasonings and the meat.. I thought it was pretty good and it did hit the spot. If I was in the mood and in the area I would come back.The gentleman at the front counter was polite and threw in some free 2 bite brownies so 3 that improved the experience.
