Just avoid this place unless you want dusty tasting, overly fried food that you wait 20 mins for. Looks like the menu used to be decent but today it was only fried options and 3 of the items weren’t even available. I wouldn’t recommend. ?
Was waiting at the counter for 20 minutes for someone to come and take my order. One person is taking the order, cooking in the kitchen and helping every delivery driver. After ordering took 30 minutes to receive the smallest order. Super under staff location. One customer canceled the order after waiting for 30 minutes, the employee had to call the owner/manager for the refund of $10 that shows pathetic empowerment to the employees. Food was okay as well, was expecting more local and in house food.
Love coming here for their fries and daily specials. Their condensed milk buns are very good. They close the kitchen early for cleaning one day. We would have appreciated the heads up before we spend the time to look and place the order. No bathrooms because it's more of a to go restaurant. Next to True Dan so really convenient to grab BBT as well.
They've got an excellent variety from sweet to salty at a great price! One thing i noticed about their bubble tea is that the pearls are sweet, I usually never buy pearls because they don't taste like anything but the pearls here actually taste good, highly recommend trying them out. Another thing to mention is the customer service, they're really on top of things and welcoming all the time, super speedy and straightforward, love it here.
Nice little place for small bites. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Tried the tokoyaki and the condensed milk donuts. Also the signature drink. We appreciated the fact that we could adjust the sweetness! Everything esp. the brown sugar drink tasted great.
I enjoy going here for their awesome drinks. They are a bit expensive but they have daily deals. I was told the tips don't go to the people that are working but to the owner which I think is just wrong and shud be illegal.
6A Snack Bar is a small snack shack located on Center Street. It shares its location with a bubble tea shop.Originally, 6A Snack Bar served Asian styled snacks and desserts which included Dim Sum. However, all of that has changed. The snack bar now serves several street style fried foods typically found at carnivals and food trucks. They have corn dogs, fries, takoyaki (fried octopus balls) and more. They serve western foods as well as a few fried Asian delights, such as the deep fried pork buns.Overall, the taste of the food is quite satisfying. The crispy fried snacks are not overcooked. They are fried just right. The fries aren't too salty and come in a few different flavors. The takoyaki was a little mushy, but that might be caused by condensation. At the moment, 6A Snack Bar does not provide any seating. So all snacks purchased must be for take out. That said the snack bar has happy hours for the snacks, as well as daily special on bubbletea. The special prices are definitely worth it.Without the specials, the price of the food can be a little expensive. Especially when you consider most of the food served is just a snack and not a meal. The staff are friendly but the wait time for food can be a little long.Overall, if you like fried snacks this is a great place to stop by. I recommend stopping by during happy hour and for their daily drink specials. Otherwise, the price is a tad bit expensive for the food provided.
Happy hours fries for $1.Truedan daily special for $2.99.15% off for student.I am super full now?
Used to be my absolute favourite place in the city for bubble tea and snacks. Every chance I got I brought my families and friends to try.To say I miss the old menu is an understatement. No more chicken crisps, no more ginger beef, no pork rice or pork udon no more (my absolute favourite) fish Shumai.I tried the new menu and was so disappointed. Deep fried bbq bun felt like I was biting into just crunchy grease, portion of the dough didn’t even seem fully cooked through; I could barely finish one. The corn dogs are just store bought pogos with some “Japanese style” toppings-disappointing, fries were soggy. Everything on their new menu is deep fried and heavy. I also preferred their old bubble tea vs tru Dan.I won’t be back at the current rate, unless their old menu is brought back and is the same quality as before.
Food is delicious and the staff are super friendly. Definitely and and underrated place, hidden in a not so flashy area.
