I was initially going to do 4 stars that only reason being the service at the time was extremely slow. Close to 1.5 before we got our food. However I did give 5 stars as the wait was acknowledged and they apoligize profusely advising they were doing some training today and this contributed to the delay.Food was quite good and the staff were very friendly. Great value for the food as well.Would definitely recommend for a nice date night.
If your in the Airdrie area you need to eat at Mio's! The sushi, amazing! The ramen to die for. The service and atmosphere is impeccable! I would eat here everyday if I could. I wish I lived in the area to become a regular. No Calgary and area trip will be complete without a stop at Mio's!
Got pick up and it was very good. Tempura batter isn't too thick, and sushi rolls don't have a lot of filler rice.
A really cozy and homey place. Everything we ordered was tasty and fresh. Super service, both ladies who served us were amazing. We had a great dinner for our daughter's birthday. Kids got chocolate in the end which was a pleasant surprise. Big thanks to the stuff! Will definitely be going back.
Just ordered a party tray, tempora udon, and chicken katsu. To be honest, the food was very disappointing considering we spent quite a bit of money.1) the chicken katsu did not come with rice, miso soup, and salad like all other Japanese cuisine spots.2) the udon portion was VERY small.3) the sushi quality was not the greatest and the taste was disappointing.
So good! Would definitely recommend and will be going back next time I’m in Airdrie! I couldn’t believe two people could get dinner for just over $30 and it was delicious. Staff were lovely and the place is clean. If you’re considering going here, just do it. ✌️
Walked in and thought the place was aesthetically pleasing.Service was terrible, food took about an hour, and at the time the restaurant was under 1/3rd full, furthermore the server didn't refill my drink until about the one hour mark when our food came out.The food itself was good and presented well, but the service was terrible, I do not recommend and would not come back.There is another sushi shop a few min away where the food is just as good and they will deliver good service.
This place was fantastic. Our waitress was so friendly and awesome. We ordered quite a bit of food and it was all delicious. Beef tataki was amazing as well as the salmon and tuna sashimi. My only issue was that most sushi had fish eggs, which I’m not a fan of but that’s a personal problem :) I would definitely come back!
Moving from BC to AB means sushi won’t be the same. But I’m actually impressed and MIO is my favorite sushi place in Airdrie. Their lunch special is great too!The lady that works on Wednesdays lunchtime is also super friendly and remembered us after our first visit. Very friendly staff and amazing service.10/10 recommend.
