This place is a 30 minutes drive from Calgary with a cozy, family friendly vibe.Prices are good compared to other steakhouses we looked at.We shared the Ceasar salad: it was super fresh and tasty.For mains we got 2 fillets mignon that were cooked to perfection!Shoutout to Madison for taking good care of us and giving us tips for things to do in Banff!
I had spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauceThe meatballs were very hard and seemed over cooked. The meat sauce was also not great being too thick. I won’t pick that again next time I go.Still a great place with other great menu items.
OMG. MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IN ALBERTA BY FAR.I have been there about 20 times in 5 years & let me tell you, I was never disappointed. Never once was my food slightly less good or not at outstanding. It’s over 5 stars for sure. The service is impeccable. Européen standards. It’s very homey, professional & the food is top notch. I personally love the Lamb. Nowhere else would I eat this food. They blow my mind every time. It’s my family place, my romantic place, my “eating alone” place, my everything. All of my greatest thank yous to the chef & Ellen. A family of truly sincerely loving & talented people. Ευχαριστώ πολύ
Amazing food and service, the waitress was very lovely and kind to us. We waited about half an hour to get our food which was totally understandable as it was very busy and it was well worth the wait. The salmon is delicious and the stuffed potato was probably the best part of the meal. My daughter loved her pepperoni pizza as well.. the portions are very substantial and you are almost guaranteed to be walking out with left overs! The ambiance and vibe in there is just beautiful as well. I hear they are selling the place... I really hope they keep it close to the same!!! Amazing night out for my daughter and I
Love Alexander's Steakhouse, they have delicious food and great staff. We've never left feeling disappointed in our meal. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but it's worth it for a special night out. It would be nice to have some more clearly marked vegan choices on the menu though.
Due to COVID restrictions, the manager / owner (?) worked very well with us to have a hot steak and shrimp dinner delivered to us. All small details were discussed and the meal was well worth the price and effort. The staff is friendly, the food is tasty, and the pricing is reasonable. It's nice to support local and have it meet expectations.
Stopped in for an amazing choice of veal cutlets and a bottle of Masi Valpolicella - the meal was excellent along with the wine pairing and the service is always the best - thanks
Dined at this restaurant for the first time with some other people and everyone was so impressed with them! I had the rib eye steak and it just melts in your mouth, definitely one of the best steak I've ever had. Other people in my party had lobster dinner, simply outstanding they said. Another person had a pizza and it was so thick with toppings and was absolutely delicious they said. Very friendly staff and good prices. I suggest you reserve ahead if your going between 5 - 7pm as it does fill up quickly. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
Wife and I celebrated our 18th anniversary here tonight, first time visit. Overall it was awesome. Prices were fair for what you get. We had the 9 oz Filet Mignon, rare and Stuffed Potato. They were both amazing. I love Stuffed Potatoes and this was probably the best one yet. Came with mixed veggies and I would normally never touch them, but ate it all including the broccoli which was surprisingly good. Had the Bruscetta which was awesome and had a nice sweet flavour to it. Also had the Calamari which was good. My only critique is to add more garlic to the Tzatziki sauce. Waitress was very efficient and attentive to our needs. Overall really good and would recommend. Will be back!
Alexander's is one surprise after another! We had heard amazing things and it was even better than we imagined. It's friendly, cozy, and the food tastes homemade. The only way I can describe it is its like The Keg, only 100x better. We can't wait to celebrate our next occasion there!
